Sometimes, a story being told by your family can be something worth exploring and preserving in memories. Here's the first teaser cut of my film,' A place to call home.' - A phone-call narrated animated short, nostalgically explores memories of a Chinese immigrant’s home in the 1970s Bangkok slums (Klong Toei). The film uses a series of evocative memories and vignettes to explore the concept of home and what it means to different people. Whether it's the difficulties of a daily routine, the warmth from nature or the simple joy of being surrounded with empathy, the film celebrates the powerful sense of belonging that comes from feeling connected to a place. Some stills and behind the scenes from the Mac Miller - balloonerism opening sequence. Most of the props and design details are little nods to moments from the film, reworked to fit into this older-era setting. 🕰️ #macmiller #balloonerism #3danimation #titlesequence #blender #blender3d #digitalart #shortfilm #makingof #behindthescenes

Inspired by my family’s tale about the only black-and-white TV in the neighborhood and their favorite commercial. Some BTS peeks from our 5 Gum films. Each flavor evolved into its own strange little universe. Prism created a gum powered melon society starting from worshipping the gum. Cobalt froze a boiling classroom in a world that’s way too hot to exist. Our alien Ricky’s grandpa’s jug? That thing is actually a spaceship that sucks our hero inside. And Ascent pulls us into a full multiverse of mint worlds.

Sharing a few of my fave shots from the 5 Gum campaign @j_asava and I directed. This project was honestly a whole ride. We built each world by hand, tiny piece at a time, until they grew into these weird little universes that somehow made sense. The 2000s Stimulate Your Senses chaos has always inspired us, so getting to reinterpret it in our style feels really really special. A little sci fi brain and a lot of love for worldbuilding. Thank you to everyone who was part of this. The team gave this project so much heart and kept pushing every idea to be sharper, funnier, and a little weirder in the best way. And big love to the agency and client for trusting us and giving us the space to go wild creatively. Feeling so proud of what we built together. Another BTS from the loooong plane flying shot 🎈☁️ The animation is built from a series of continuous long takes, each one treated like a real, physical space which weirdly unlocked all kinds of unexpected and cool moments along the way. Honestly might be the longest one-take we’ve ever pulled off. Still kinda shocked we survived it! #macmiller #balloonerism #3danimation #titlesequence #blender #blender3d #digitalart #shortfilm #makingof #behindthescenes

Bringing the Mac Miller – Balloonerism opening sequence to life with @j_asava was so funn! 🎈 Recreating this old school film world felt like stepping into a strange, dreamlike storybook slowly coming to life. Still can’t get over how weird and beautiful the whole film was. Big thanks to @samueljeromemasonic and @hellohornet for bringing us into this. Truly such a beautiful and special piece to be part of. 🤍 Song credit: Mac Miller – “Tambourine Dream” and “DJ’s Chord Organ (feat.
