Earlier this year I was interviewed by the lovely @catherineede from @theartline___ . It’s now online as part of The ART-CLE, an inspiring publication celebrating both emerging and established multidisciplinary artists. A space where creatives are welcomed to share their fears, ideas, triumphs, learnings, and express in a way which feels meaningful to them. We chatted about my street wanderings, juggling IVF with a creative career, how success has a bit of a different meaning for me right now, and a few other things.

Yarns need many baths through their transformation into a dress. Even before it is mounted on a loom , it must bathe in starch. The starch acts as a glue holding the fibres of the yarn together as it’s subjected to high levels of tension and stress on the loom. Once woven into a fabric and before it makes acquaintance with the tailor’s scissors it needs another bath, in water, to wash away the starch and shrink the tension out.

In 1991, Ukraine gained independence. There was a sense of freedom and hope among the people after years of Soviet oppression. This sense of freedom inspired us then and has united us now in the face of Russian aggression since 2014.
This project aims to preserve memories of simple moments of life in Ukraine.#freeukraine #ukraine
