The 2nd Annual HBCU All-Star Game is headed to Long Island 🌟
On June 20th, some of the best HBCU talent in lacrosse will take the field for a weekend celebrating culture, community, and the future of the game!
This weekend marks the kickoff of the 2026 @pll and @wll seasons, and we’re incredibly proud to see Respect the Roots continue at the highest level of the game in its second season as a part of the pregame experience.
What started as a vision to create a meaningful acknowledgment of the Indigenous origins of lacrosse is now being carried into stadiums across the league.
We created Respect the Roots to remind the lacrosse community where this game comes from and who carried it long before modern lacrosse existed. It is an invitation to honor the Indigenous origins, peoples, and teachings connected to the Creator’s Game.
This season, the pregame acknowledgment is being read by @pll and @wll professional players themselves, bringing the message to life in a powerful way.
To hear the origins of the game acknowledged before the highest level of competition in the sport is something we are deeply proud of.

The Utah Archers are proud to officially welcome Brady Famuliner to the Archers family as an Honorary Player and Honorary Captain for Saturday’s game.
Brady captured the hearts of the lacrosse community on April 17 when he dressed for West Field High School’s varsity lacrosse team and scored a ceremonial goal before the West Field vs. Fremont game. The moment, which went viral after Brady’s mother shared it on Instagram, highlighted the support Brady received from teammates, opponents, coaches, families, and the larger lacrosse community.
