I completely lost momentum on this final batch of cards. It seemed almost impossible to focus on new ideas and it made me wonder how i ever managed to make so many previously. It’s weird how making art/life is like that sometimes.
Anyway, that’s 100 new trading cards finally complete (beat my previous record of 98 in considerably more time). I’ll be taking a break now.

Here’s some new characters.
It’s been difficult lately to think of new characters so i’ll probably take a little break after i reach 100, and then find a slightly modified format that helps me be creative more easily.

My favourite ideas are usually the ones that are least expected. The ideas that catch me off guard. Maybe they give me a few questions that don’t have answers. The ideas are at least a little but stupid, but honest as well.

Had a few challenging days and missed making new cards, but here’s 10 new ones again. I was worried that it might disrupt my flow, but maybe it’s good to take a break from routines because if you truly love doing something then you’ll inevitably come back to it.

Sometimes rules are great for making art, and sometimes rules are not. The moment a rule feels like it’s preventing you from making the art you want to make you should say goodbye to that rule. This is one of my own rules for making art.

Sometimes it takes me quite a while to figure out who my next character will be. Usually i wait until an idea makes me laugh before i start. Grateful to have humour as such a big part of my life. I depend on it.

There’s no absolute method to making art, but these days i prefer to make art first and understand it later. Inevitably we leave some piece of ourselves in anything we create. Does it mean something? Maybe. And it could mean something different to you too.

A 30 day streak of making a new card each day. Streaks are fun to celebrate, but it’s important to give yourself space if you need it, and don’t put too much importance on the streak because it might be difficult to recover momentum if a break feels too significant.
Just keep making art whenever you feel like it!

Another new 10 trading cards after 10 days. If I force myself to create every day then not everything turns out great, but it feels like such good exercise for my brain. With the added bonus that these cards sometimes really make me laugh.
