Wear art, support artists! We’ve partnered with @leonardpongo and @heidi.chisholm on a limited-edition series of silk scarves, inspired by Pongo’s project, Primordial Earth! Each beautiful design supports the continuation and expansion of Pongo’s innovative work. Primordial Earth uses mixed-media installations to explore the rich cultural heritage of Congolese traditions, resulting in works that straddle the realms of reality and imagination. Pongo is currently an artist-in-residence at @project__loop in London. On October 16, he opens a solo show at @project__loop and a Special Project Exhibition and Installation at 1-54 @154artfair . Chisholm is a designer, art director and illustrator based in Brooklyn. #wearableart #silkscarves #artcollection

R S V P Link in Bio!!!! Constellation is proud to host the launch of Luke Oppenheimer’s photobook “Ottuk”! The evening will begin with a talk by the artist and his publishers, Aliens in Residence, followed by the screening of a short film shot by Byron Pace. Books will be available for purchase with the artist’s signature. An open bar will serve red and white wine. After the launch ends around 10pm, stay for the dance party! In the winter of 2021 Luke Oppenheimer travelled to the Tien Shan mountains of Central Kyrgyzstan for one month to cover a story about Ottuk, a small village of shepherds suffering from severe predation on livestock by a growing population of wolves. Every year wolves eat up to one hundred horses and countless sheep from the village. In the frigid winter months the men of the village venture into the surrounding mountains to hunt the wolves and mitigate their losses. What started out as a month long trip turned into a five year long project about the people of Ottuk as he came to be accepted as a member of the village and adopted by one of the families. His book, “Ottuk”, is a deep dive into the dreams, hardships, joys and sorrows of the villagers, their ancient way of life and the landscape that shaped them.

It’s ever-evolving thus each exhibition offers a new experience and interpretation of the work. Don’t miss this opportunity to see it at such a prestigious event! Cheers to @leonardpongo ✨ we could not be more thrilled with your ongoing success! #venicebiennale #grant

Join us on Thursday, March 5th at our new studio, The Constellation, for the first discussion in our conversation series: Re:Learning. Director Pierre Zandrowicz will share exclusive excerpts from his recent TV series, which is a hybrid project blending AI tools with traditional on-location and studio filmmaking. In a talk moderated by Michaela A. Ternasky-Holland, a Peabody-nominated, Emmy-winning director, Pierre will unpack his creative process, the realities of blending different workflows, and why this hybrid model made sense for him and the network. The event is free to attend and encourages a salon-style, active discussion amongst creative minds. Please RSVP using the link in our bio. We hope to see you there! Image provided by @cinem.ai

We are often a different person at first light than by afternoon. Most of us meet only once we’re “ready,” rarely seeing the tender, unguarded in-between. In “The Yawn”, Patricia Gloum @patriciagloum turns the lens on 30 people who have touched her life, filmed in their bedrooms from 2017 to today. She wonders, who has left their mark on her life? Who has crossed her path and changed her journey? Born in Boston (1988) and raised in Paris by Greek and Spanish parents, Gloum grew up between cultures and languages — an experience that shaped her eye for empathy and identity. Using a simple DV camera and mic, she explores the fragile moment between sleep and awareness — a meditation on human connection and the need for closeness in a time that has tested it. A selection of seven profiles can be viewed alongside Gloum’s recreation of the intimate setting at @_maison_celeste and @ademan in CDMX now through Sunday, Oct. 19. Gloum was the recipient of Plena’s Thalia Transformation Fund grant, which provides seed money to innovative visual artists. #
