A porcelain bowl from the recent
108-hour firing of the Anagama kiln at
@pleasant_hill_pottery . This bowl was fired upside down on a small brick post/wad combo (like a mushroom) in the core of the kiln. There is no applied glaze or flashing slip. The porcelain is White Rose from @clayartcentertacoma . Several of these bowls and other recent pieces will be available at our upcoming Holiday Sale on Dec 6th and 7th at Pleasant Hill Pottery.
A porcelain tumbler wood-fired for 108 hours in a perforated saggar on the front face of the Anagama kiln at @pleasant_hill_pottery . The second picture shows the variation between all the saggars. Also pics of the load, before and after the firing. We had a great firing with a great crew!

A pie pan from the recent 44-hour wood-salt firing at @pleasant_hill_pottery . The center is glazed with Sweetness Celadon and the rim is sprayed with a satin matte black glaze. The darker blue zone is from black overspray over the celadon. The clay is Big White from @clayartcentertacoma .

A stoneware colander from the recent unloading of the wood-soda kiln at @pleasant_hill_pottery . The interior is sprayed with three glazes - a porcelain Shino, Reitz green to black, and galactic indifference, in that order.
