*Summer Solstice Early Morning Sauna Session* Take a moment this Saturday before the day begins to connect with the positive, creative energy of the midusummer sunlight.  We are hosting a dreamy early morning session at the Ardagh Community Sauna on Horfield Common, combining the hot/cold sauna cycle with meditation techniques, gentle movement led by Yoga instructor Helen Appley and live improvised vocals from singer and sound artist Playspaced. We will explore ways that we can channel the expansive, active, life-giving energy of midsummer sunlight into our bodies and intentions. About: Helen Appleby (Guest teacher, Early Morning Session)   I offer inclusive universal yoga, adapted to the individual. I believe deeply in yoga's power to help support us physically, mentally and emotionally to live our best life. Yoga is huge in scope and so much more than the stylised images many are fed. I have adapted elements to serve frenetic pre-schoolers, seniors with extreme mobility issues, iron-pumping prisoners, those chronically ill and dazed and confused festival dwellers. I love what I do. I am grateful for the individuals I have crossed paths with and experiences gained along the way.   About: Playspaced I am a multi genre vocalist and sound artist with a background in classical, jazz and opera singing. I make and play music that is in tune with how I feel at that particular time: for this event I will be exhibiting a jazz folk fusion. About: Counting Blessings Counting Blessings is a music/dance event series focused on music with Jazz origins and on providing a friendly and welcoming space to dance, move and listen for all, grounded in the belief that coming together to share music and dancing is one of the very best things for us, individually and communally. Being able to sing, dj, perform, listen, watch and dance any night of the week in Bristol is what makes this city so brilliant. I honestly feel so grateful. I really can't emphasise more how much collaborating and sharing music with others makes me feel. I struggle a lot with my mental health like many of us do and often feel I'm projecting that a lot on to others but when I'm immersed in music it feels like it falls away.
