Creating this film has helped me to reflect on my journey so far. Not only has it reminded me of my love for this sport, it’s also allowed me to appreciate all the
moments that have brought me to where I am today, both the good and the bad. To cherish those smaller, unassuming moments and to stay present.
Despite the unexpected turns in my journey, it has brought me more joy, inspiration
and fulfilment than I could have ever imagined. Everything happens for a reason.

It’s not every day that you get to direct a season ticket campaign for your club.
What a journey it’s been - starting off last March, working with the @oufcofficial as freelance videographers. Fast forward a year later, and we’ve just wrapped the production for Oxford United’s 2025-2026 Season Ticket Campaign.

As my international badminton career winds down. I look back and reflect on the 27 years of dream chasing both on and off the court. I wanted to share the challenges, triumphs, and relentless pursuit of my dreams. Because I know many of you out there are doing the same.
As an Asian American playing sports, never in a million years could I have imagined the experiences Badminton has given me. But the reality of it is, not all sports are created equal and we can only strive to push our sport above and beyond. I truly believe that the choice between passion and profession is not a binary decision and I am most proud of trailblazing a new path that allowed me to embrace both.
I share my story in hopes to inspire those of you who might be facing similar crossroads or challenges in life. Embrace the beauty in the struggle. Know that life is not always a straight line. And remember to lead with grace.
To everyone that has been part of my journey. This is for you.

12 months ago, I had this crazy idea: create a short film about my story.
As we moved from video concept, pre-production, filming, scriptwriting, film scoring, editing, sound design, to post-production. Each and every frame has been a learning experience and truly has a story behind it. This passion project has been a journey in itself and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with none other than my team.
