We’re delighted to officially launch Season 2 of our Smooth Scaling podcast.
In this short opening episode, our CEO Marie outlines the key themes facing scaling businesses for the year ahead. Drawing on insights from the 2026 Business Outlook Report, she explores key focus areas including international expansion, cost and margin pressure, AI adoption, leadership bandwidth, talent challenges and collaboration.
The episode also pays tribute to the late John Purdy, one of the first supporters of our regional SCALE by Platform94 community and a much-loved guest on the podcast, whose spirit of collaboration and generosity will continue to shape our journey.
Season 2 will feature practical, honest conversations with founders and scaling leaders, many from the SCALE by Platform94 regional community, sharing real experiences and insights from their own scaling stories.

We were thrilled to host another highly successful Innovation Clinic here at Platform94 on Wednesday, as West regional partners of Pathway to Innovate. Delivered by IRDG - Driving Irish Innovation and Skillnet Innovation Exchange, and expertly facilitated by Alan Costello, Director and Co-Founder of Resolve Partners, the Clinic also featured an engaging fireside chat with Ursula Kelly, Managing Director of Cormac Tagging, who shared profound real-world experience.

The conversations and panel discussions throughout the day highlighted the growing importance of collaboration between sport, technology, and data-driven innovation. Earlier this week we were delighted to host our event ‘Global Talent Pathways - Navigating Talent Mobility across Ireland, the UK & the US’ with SCALE by Platform94 partner, @fragomenimmigration - one of the world’s leading global immigration services firms.
A sincere thank you to Claire Cumiskey, Charlotte Wills and Helen Downes for sharing their expertise, and providing practical and insightful guidance on navigating immigration pathways. The session highlighted how businesses can access and retain international talent while ensuring compliance when expanding into new markets.

We are delighted to host US based investor Máire P. Walsh, and SCALE by Platform94 supporter, on Wednesday 20th May for a number of complimentary 1:1 advisory sessions for our scaling community leaders.
Máire P. is a Silicon Valley-based investor, operator, and advisor working at the intersection of venture capital, commercialization, and international scale. The Mayo native is the founder of Belayer, where she advises high-growth technology companies on fundraising, U.S. market entry, and enterprise growth. She is also a Venture Partner at AiiM Partners, a Silicon Valley-based sustainability fund investing in companies driving industrial transformation, resource efficiency, and scalable growth.
Previously, she led Digital Technologies for Enterprise Ireland in Silicon Valley, supporting Irish founders on U.S. expansion, strategic partnerships, and early commercial traction. She is also a direct investor in companies such as Airalo, Dromos and Urban Fox, and brings a very strong cross-border network between Ireland, Europe, and Silicon Valley.
A regular conference speaker, Máire is known for bringing a candid Silicon Valley perspective to venture, commercialization, and what it takes to earn attention, capital, and momentum in the U.S.
