@elzawandler invited us to contribute to a special project with a custom shelf in Karlite Sienna, set in contrast to their beautiful green hues. We’re pleased to be part of it, alongside @solid_nature and @joonas_lutz , photographed by @pim_top On view at @wandler Pauw Curated Space until September 27.

Meet the full Karlite palette — seven rich tones crafted from recycled polycarbonate: Chalk, Chestnut, Glacial, Jade, Pomegranate, Quartz, and Sienna. Developed in-house and produced on demand, Karlite transforms discarded headlights into solid surface sheets that offer the refined translucency of resin — with the resilience and responsibility of polycarbonate. Further information on sizes and lead times is available upon request. We're curious to see how Karlite comes to life in your work!

In collaboration with @jilsander and @caspermuellerkneer architects, we curated a custom color palette for our Mother of Pearl collection handcrafted from recycled polycarbonate. Our surfaces feature throughout the new Jil Sander flagship store in Tokyo, presented in soft, earthy tones that echo the warmth of Italian travertine, alongside bold, vibrant contrasts that redefine what recycled plastic can look and feel like. The space also houses a dedicated gallery, debuting with an exhibition by British sculptor @rachelwhitereadofficial , further rooting the store in a dialogue between art, design, and material innovation. This collaboration reflects a deeper design ethos: a commitment to longevity, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility, values we’re proud to share. 📹 @reitakaji

Inside the Beymen flagship store at Tersane Istanbul, featuring our Mother of Pearl Dune & Classic. Applied across wall panels and displays, the material catches the light and shifts subtly as you move through the space. As we keep saying: real change comes from choosing better materials and from an industry willing to shift. It's rewarding to see that mindset take shape here, with @Beymen and architects like @OMA embracing more responsible solutions. Captured by: Ibrahim Özbunar / 645studio

From sample to something you experience everyday. Karlite isn’t just a surface, it responds to its surroundings. Subtle at first glance, it reveals depth, texture, and nuance as light moves across it, shifting throughout the day. Would you like a table like the ones at @stromcafe ? Or have something else in mind? Let us know! Order samples through our webshop and experience the possibilities in your own space!

Sculptural Appropriation Stool by @fortheform_ debuted at Salone Del Mobile 2026 @isaloniofficial Exhibition: @solidified_fuorisalone Location: Via Carlo Farini 35 Milano Exploring plastic as a material without its own visual identity. Plastic's appearance is defined by compliance. It shows no traces of its origin and is made to be shaped to specification, doing so without resisting form. Instead, it reproduces whatever we want it to be. Since its conception, plastic has built its entire visual language on imitation to an extent that the perception of otherwise luxury materials or classical forms changed to being cheap or of low quality. Never asking for permission to copy, plastic appropriates whatever its makers desire and becomes every material and shape worthy of reproduction, especially of cheap reproduction. Sculptural Appropriation explores this material without origin, and works within its only constant constraint: reproduction. Copying copies, the objects themselves become sculptural furniture comprised of permissionless visual language and form an index of what visual languages plastic has already taken from others. 📸 @lottevanuittert

As Salone del Mobile Milano approaches, a first glimpse at the debut pieces by FortheForm. With @fortheform_ our founders Marten van Middelkoop and Joost Dingemans shift their way of working. There is no fixed outcome, no predefined form. The process remains open. Through experimental, hands-on making, materials are tested, adjusted, and allowed to guide decisions. What emerges is not planned in advance, but discovered along the way. The pieces we’re bringing to Milan are a direct result of this approach. A series developed through exploration rather than resolution, where form is shaped through process, not imposed onto it. We call it Borrowed Beauty, and we’re excited to share it with you for the first time. Presented as part of @solidified_fuorisalone Find us at Via Carlo Farini 35 next week. @isaloniofficial

Every detail matters when designing a listening experience. And @spotify knows that. For the Spotify Listening Lounge in London, they chose our Karlite Chalk sheets, a durable material whose soft, matte surface supports a calm, tactile setting for focused, immersive listening. A space where material, sound, and atmosphere come together with each element quietly shaping the way music is felt and experienced, now and for years to come. Special thanks to our UK partner @surfacematter for bringing us together. Photo credits @felixspeller

Where repetition ends, FortheForm begins. Our founders Marten van Middelkoop and Joost Dingemans have been quietly working behind the scenes on their new venture. Design studio @fortheform_ developed out of a need to move beyond optimalisation. FortheForm is Marten and Joost’s answer to working beyond repetition and scale. A space where process and materials lead. At Plasticiet, the work focuses on transforming recycled plastics into materials and products that can be produced consistently and at scale. FortheForm runs alongside this practice, creating space to work without those constraints and experiment freely. FortheForm expands the practice of design by prioritizing exploration, creating space to understand what material, process, and intuition can do when freed from industry requirements. A first presentation of this work will be revealed during Salone del Mobile 2026, as part of Solidified's from Matter to Form exhibition. @isaloniofficial @solidified_fuorisalone

Retail shouldn’t just use recycled materials as a statement, it should be the standard. Projects like @bershka Milan flagship and their Marineda store in Spain, both designed by @oma.eu , show how sustainable materials can transform a space. Our Mother of Pearl sheets, made from 100% recycled polycarbonate, bring texture, depth, and a circular story to the interiors. Real change happens at every step; from designers and architects choosing sustainable materials, to clients investing in them, to us pushing the boundaries of what waste can become. From concept to execution, it’s all about committing to durable, sustainable solutions.

What happens when £2.5 million is taken out of circulation? For Reconstructing Value, presented during London Design Festival at @boemuseum , in collaboration with @surfacematter we explored a simple question: what happens when money loses its value? Working with £2.5 million of decommissioned banknotes, we transformed shredded currency into a sculptural furniture installation, where value shifts from symbol to material. Drawing from the surrounding neoclassical and baroque architecture, we translated these references into curved, contemporary forms that feel both monumental and unexpected. Traces of the banknotes remain visible in the surface, revealing their past life. Designed as a modular system, the elements can be rearranged, subtly forming the outline of the pound symbol when viewed from above. View the full project via the link in bio.
