The Arto Saari episode of @letitkillyouseries is streaming on @vice today. This is a really special one. It was an honor to spend this time with Arto and his family and friends and hear his story, pick his brain, and learn what he’s excited about and looking forward to.
As always I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to peer into someone’s world and be trusted to photograph it. Congratulations to my friends @benmcqueentattoo and @trevarcushing for creating this beautiful piece.

Last October we released Let It Kill You, a book about the overlap of skateboarding and tattooing. We spent a lot of time photographing it and telling the story through transcribed interviews with some legendary skateboarders and tattooers. This year we’ve been working on a follow-up docuseries all about creatives and artists within skateboarding. Very excited to see it all start to come together and excited to share this episode about illustrator @mike_lottie_ - coming (pretty) soon.
@letitkillyouseries is comin. Follow along for info about its release etc.

A few days ago while at home with my mom, my dad passed away very suddenly. My dad, Lee, was the most important person in my life. He was my mentor, my friend, and my greatest champion. He was endlessly compassionate and thoughtful, he dedicated his life to loving people. This loss is unimaginable. The world is upside down.
I’m incredibly grateful for how many of my friends got to know him throughout my life. He remembered all of you and always kept tabs on how everyone was doing. Thank you everyone who has reached out already, it really means the world. 🖤
2024 in photos.
This was the first year in a long time that my focus wasn’t entirely on photography. It was a little bit disorienting. Still, I covered a lot of ground. Spent lots of time with people I love, made new friends, started a new job, focused on life. It was a good year. Made progress.
