Weeks posts
Ever since I watched a documentary about data centers I feel even less trigger happy about posting random stuff and creating more digital waste but I really felt this one deserved a post of its own.

Spring is the time of the year when my graffiti work starts to flourish. From t-ups, to monikers, to full blown complex murals. I can do it all.

Writers and tunes pt. 2 . This time the tune isn't just connected to a single writer it's a time capsule a cross section of people, places and time. A trip for the books. . Also on slide 7 you can observe an attempt of a 'relaxed' style by myself.

Tunes 'n' writers. . I figured out there are certain songs that will always instantly remind me of a certain person. Here is a selection of tunes that remind me of my writer friends. A lot of the times it is people introducing new songs to me and sometimes it is just hearing familiar songs in a new setting. Have a nice Friday afternoon everyone.

From Pizza King to Halb Haxn Rick. . A friend of mine once beautifully captured what graffiti was for him in an intro he wrote for his magazine Pointless. I never tried to remember the exact words and because it wasn't about the words. It was about the feeling. Meeting, saying hi, introductions that later turn into hugs because the friendship has now grown. The unknown becomes familiar and the awkwardness replaced by joy and happiness. When I look back on my accomplishments in graffiti the walls definitely fade and melt into a blur. What remains and what was the foundation for future friendships and travels wasn't style or my skill as a writer but the fact that I was the skinniest person at a jam who was the only one to eat a whole pizza at a place in Milan notorious for its big pizzas. Receiving an answer to my catch-up email to a new friend from Switzerland which said: 'I remember you, you're the guy who finished the whole pizza.' My stomach hurt and I couldn't get much sleep due to it but what is one night compared to eternity. . Graffiti is eating the bread that was supposed to go with cevapcici because nobody warned you about the rush hour when travelling from Monfalcone to Brescia. Graffiti is eating the cevapcici without the bread on the side because your friend said you cannot buy bread anywhere else except this local bakery which has the best brioche that they ran out of. It's making crew t-shirts for your friends and enjoying trash music together. It's good food, it's shitty food. It's winter freezes and summer sweats. It's new people in new cities, old friends in old cities, old friends in new cities and new people in old cities. It's warm welcomes and heartfelt goodbyes.

Stopped me if I heard this one... The book jacket that really designed itself. Mockup & display suggestion. The legendary building. Cover sketch & the photo from the web that inspired it all. Penguin, Knopf, Rizolli, Taschen, HMU!
