Celebrating Placentia’s Centenarians 🎉
In 2026, the City of Placentia is celebrating 100 years of incorporation, and we want to honor the people who have helped shape our community over the last century.
Do you know someone who is 100 years old or will turn 100 in 2026? We would love to recognize Placentia centenarians during our Centennial celebration.
Residents may submit information for themselves, a family member, friend, or neighbor. Those recognized may be acknowledged on the City’s website, on social media, and at a public meeting.
Visit /2026 for more information and to fill out the form.

Then and Now: Placentia's Heritage Festival and Parade
Placentia’s Heritage Festival and Parade has been bringing the community together since 1965. What started as a small, local celebration organized by the Placentia Jaycees, complete with simple floats, neighbors lining the streets, and even a lighthearted elephant race, has grown into one of the city’s most cherished traditions.
Today, the parade draws thousands of spectators and participants each year, featuring marching bands, local organizations, businesses, and colorful floats that reflect Placentia’s diversity and community spirit.
While much has changed over the years, one thing remains the same: the Heritage Parade continues to celebrate the people, history, and pride that make Placentia special.
