Oder restored. In the autumn, I’ll build a grid frame for more efficient timber storage in the hayloft. Now it’s time to apply energy and dial back the outa control entropy in the studio!
So I got back from Julio’s and this was on my doorstep. I ordered a fresh copy because all the copies I lent to friends never came back. So I’ll be up half the night reading it yet again. It’s just a sensational book about a sensational artist.
Now that the preservation shop is well on its way, Saturday morning I will make an assault on the beggar’s lice, wild lettuce, mustang grapes, briars, trumpet creeper and cat’s claw. Battle time. 👨🏭
Would anyone like lots of wood scraps? Maybe all of you “makers” who “craft” charcuterie boards out of 2x4s? I haven’t done a deep clean and re-organization of the preservation shop since I finished rebuilding the Compound’s entire external envelope. So this has been a 3-day effort. (One more day to go, unless I get a second wind tonight.)
Found suitable heavy duty screws and countersinking bits. The 2” x 2” poplar ledgers need to be mounted to the 1/2” sheet rock and the 2” x4” blocking behind. There will be steel angles mounted to the ledgers so I have to be careful about spacing so the sets of screws don’t interfere with each other.
The New York Times published a digital edition of remarkable testament to Donlyn Lyndom. Penelope Green wrote the piece. Evidently, it will be published in the print edition in the coming days too.

Starting with the mud. Since I saw this at the Triennale di Milano, I’m wondering if we should just keep Charles’ study this way and call it Post-Post Koolhaas? 😳😂💁♂️ @triennalemilano
