At the @asianartmuseum ’s Chiharu Shiota exhibit, I spotted this stranger posing perfectly for someone else in the immersive “Diary” exhibition room, and in order to capture, it, I had to quickly grab my phone back from my daughter, who had been taking photos with it. First photo is at 4x with my iPhone, second photo is at 1x a moment later.

Happy Halloween! My goal is to take a nice portrait of the kids in their Halloween costumes every year. I failed last year, so it’s a good thing that Cooper wanted to rewear his costume from last year and that Willow still fits into her costume from last year, so Willow was photographed in two costumes this year.

Throwback to September 2022, a few days before I delivered my daughter. Shot at home with a Pentax 67II on Portra 400.
I recently did a portrait session, which gave me reason to take a stash of exposed film I had sitting in a drawer to be developed. I had been slowly shooting film during the COVID years and getting these rolls back from the last 5 years served as a nice little time capsule. It makes me wish I had been more deliberate with it.
