Feeling well and cancer-free! Feeling joyful and generous. And with more energy I’m having a little Pjoys tidy up. So here’s a handful of PJs from the Revive range that I’ve found in a sort out and audit and I’ve put them back up onto the Pjoys site with a lovely discount. These PJs were made from left-over fabric that would have been destroyed and put into landfill. I mean, look at them 🫶✨✨✨ Take a peak… Feathers! Blue Elephant! Grey Bear! Blue Stripe, Purple Stripe and Red Check - and they all have a really lovely feel to them. I’ve been wearing my own pair of Feathers since the cold weather arrived. Warm arms! I love them. Only a few of each left. Sunday love. Festive joy. Living life with gratitude. Meesh x #pjs #pjoys #festivefun #christmaspresents #christmasgifts #christmaspjs #sustainability #revivedfabric

Hello, ✨✨ Feeling good, playing with PJs and Pjoys as I get stronger and move on from the main part of my breast cancer treatment. Feeling the joy. We have some PJs here still and some other lovely bits and bobs. I’ll be slowly sharing them here over the next few weeks. Great gift for self. Great gift for others. The gift of health, rest, joy, care, kindness, thoughtfulness. Hope you’re all well. Michelle x #recovery #mentalwellness #breastcancer #mindbodysoul ā˜€ļøā˜€ļøā˜€ļø

A Public Act Of Nothingness for World Mental Health Day (WMHD) and Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) šŸ’ššŸ©· It’s been a while Pjoys friends, but on WMHD and during BCAM it feels fitting to say hello and that I’m okay…despite it being a different WMHD for me this year. 3 months ago I received a breast cancer diagnosis creating another one of those moments in life when the world turns upside down and deals you a truly rubbish hand. Anyway, I’ve had surgery and despite feeling a little lopsided I’ve recovered well. The outlook is very hopeful which is great as I’m a big fan of hope. I was due to start Radiotherapy this week, the next phase of beating The Beast that is Breast Cancer (I’m winning šŸ’Ŗ), so I had taken all work commitments out of my diary. No talks, no campaigns, no training, no book readings, no setting Guinness World Records - nothing. Then my treatment start date was pushed back by a week. So I found myself somewhat ā€˜rattling around’ this morning wondering what I can do to play my part in the WMHD conversation… ā€˜Not much’ is what I’ve come up with. Literally, not much. I’m not going to do very much at all this WMHD. Why? Because it turns out that fighting the Breast Cancer Beast is almost a full time job, one that requires time, energy, focus, money and mental, physical and emotional strength. ✨ So today, I did some writing for pure joy, prepared some nutritious food, did some exercise and physio and now I’m in my PJs (Pjoys obvs) about to watch a couple of episodes of something and get to bed on time. ✨ And I’m so grateful for this day I’ve been given. šŸ’š I hope this Act Of Nothingness might help someone else embrace their own Act Of Nothingness, for whatever reason, whenever is needed. šŸ’š WMHD LESSON: Deciding to DO SOMETHING or NOT DO SOMETHING in order to take care of our mental health is good and should be celebrated. Michelle x Pic throwback to when we launched our Crowdfunder on WMHD in 2018 šŸ’ššŸ“øCharney Magri **I am on Substack - it’s a brilliant platform and warm, non-shouty community please join me there, it’s a great way to support my work.** #worldmentalhealthday #breastcancerawareness

#internationalwomensday 4 years ago today we launched @Pjoys Last year Female-led companies contributed Ā£85 billion to the UK economic output.* We are a small but mighty pyjama brand and we’re so proud of the hundreds of conversations about mental health our PJs have started in so many different ways. From the windows of @Fenwickofficial in 2019 to inside the walls of @tate in 2023 it’s been an incredible journey, one ONLY possible due to the enormous numbers of brilliant women who have played a part in the making this purpose-led business happen - we are SO grateful to each and every one of them. One of the best ways to mark International Women’s Day today is to buy something from a women-led small business. Here’s a 50% discount code to help buy from us. Use IWD23 at check out (valid until 23.59pm GMT) But it’s not just about us… The way forward must be about collaboration, cheerleading and championing. With that in mind @Hollytucker is a brilliant champion working in this space and has LOADS of ideas and links for the who, what and where of women-led businesses. There’s also @buywomenbuilt is a new movement to support and recognise female founded products. Here’s an extract from my book - Own Your Awkward: How to have better and braver conversations about our mental health. (Link in bio) I hope it gives you an insight into why having our Pjoys designed by artists is so important to me. šŸ‘©ā€šŸŽØšŸ§‘ā€šŸŽØ With gratitude to @lubainapics for this artwork for our collboration with @tateshop Losing myself in art Ā  During my depression and anxiety I spent a lot of time losing myself in different pictures, in particular an artwork by our friend and artist @JayboMonk (see next post). I would look at his painting and see so many different things – an angel flying, a woman falling, sky, sea, waves, clouds as well as joy, pain and very occasionally hope. I felt like I was in the picture, I felt like I was the picture. It was like Jaybo had climbed inside my head, sat and quietly watched for a while and then climbed back out and painted what he’d seen onto canvas. I would stare at the picture as a way to calm my chattering and unkind mind; at other times I’d stare deeply into it trying doggedly to ignite some kind of life and feeling into the black hole of my empty mind. Sometimes it worked. How curious these two such different states could be tended to by one picture. Our art pieces became both my sedatives and stimulants, depending on how I was feeling and what I needed. The powerful role that art can play to help and heal the mind stayed with me and was to become an important part of my ā€œwhat nextā€ in lifeā€. Look at some art today - try 15 mins on the @tate website. šŸ’— #art artoftheday #mentalhealthawareness #happy #healthy #artists #depression #anxiety #psychosis #burnout #pjs pjday
