Born over 2000 years ago, Kathak is one of India’s eight classical dance forms — rooted in the ancient storytellers called “Kathaks” who narrated tales from temples and royal courts through movement, rhythm, and expression. Every gesture carries meaning. Every footstep tells a story. The ghungroo doesn’t just make sound — it echoes centuries.
We took Kathak to the coast of Bahrain. Rocks, wind, open water — and a dancer who made the whole world go quiet.
