Solstice’24 // USGROUP Some photoshoots go off without a hitch, but occasionally, a meticulously planned session takes an unexpected turn on the day of the shoot. This particular shoot was one of those. The weather turned extremely cold and windy, making it impossible for us to stand or for the models to pose. Additionally, the location we had chosen didn’t permit us to shoot there. Despite these challenges, we quickly found an alternative spot and completed the shoot, thanks to the incredible teamwork of our team. We took these photos back in September 🇹🇷, completely unplanned. Rimsha and I were walking through Taksim, the nostalgic tram arrived, and since I had my camera with me we decided to create something beautiful & it took us just Four Minutes. When you are comfortable with the person in front of the lens, everything becomes effortless. Rimsha is a photographer herself, so she already knew how to pose. With years of Pixels experience, capturing natural moments like these feels very easy and very real. This iconic red tram was revived in 1990 and it carries a story of its own. It once stopped running and was later brought back to life. Today it moves through Istiklal Caddesi and attracts millions of tourists every year who come to experience a piece of Istanbul’s living history. We live in a time where we’ve forgotten what life truly means. We don’t know what the next minute holds, yet we spend our precious moments judging, performing, pretending, and chasing illusions. Social media has turned into a stage, where most of what we see is exaggerated, filtered, or simply fake. That speaking truth today feels harder than hiding behind a mask. But the truth is simple: we weren’t created for comparison, manipulation, or the pursuit of empty validation. Money comes and goes. Fame comes and goes. Trends come and go. But what stays? Goodness. Intentions. Real connections. The moments where we helped someone, understood someone, forgave someone. The silent prayers, the genuine smiles, the hearts we didn’t hurt, that is what life is made of. So maybe… live a little. Not for the world, not for the screen but for your heart. Stop pretending.
