On Tuesday nights, we celebrate #TurntableTuesday by giving some of the incredible vinyl from @piratespress a spin on our decks here at PPHQ! Let's look back at what we were spinning this week! Six months ago this weekend, NYC ska/reggae legends @theslackersband released the 5-songEP Money is King, featuring a cover song and four new originals, each one by one of the band's different songwriters! This was the band's largest collection of new studio recordings since their chart-topping 2022 LP Don't Let the Sunlight Fool Ya. In the time since the EP's release, there have been three music videos released, and the songs have already become fan favorites and live staples! The first pressing of the Money is King EP was available on both 12" Green Cloudy Vinyl and 12" Gold Nugget Vinyl, each with UV-printed artwork on the B-side! By now both versions are down to their very last few copies in the @piratespressrecords webstore! If you want to get your hands on the first pressing, act now or it may be too late!
