In 2012 we created our dream mom & pop business based upon one statement: "build a space we want to hang out in full of things we want to eat and drink."
Freshly made doughnuts bring great comfort, and house-made chai is the beverage of welcoming hospitality.
For the last 11 years we have shared this vision with our community by offering the freshest doughnuts & chai, served with hospitality and kindness.
Does it get better than doughnuts made fresh and hot for each customer served alongside fragrant chai lovingly crafted in small batches using secret family recipes?
As far as we are concerned it does not, and we are so grateful that so many of you agree.

We call this month's menu 'Breakfast All Day'
Pancake 🥞
A hot doughnut is drizzled with real maple syrup glaze and house-made sweet butter sauce. Close your eyes and lose yourself in a flapjack fever dream.
Strawberry Milk 🍓🥛
Our made from scratch custard using organic strawberries for a luxuriously thick and creamy texture with just the right balance of sweet and tart strawberries.
And speaking of breakfast, here's the history I promised:
We created our own unique donut recipe, inspired by my grandma's family Belgian waffles.
That's where you get the sweet golden crunch on the outside with the spiced interior pockets.
I grew in the 70's in a small town at a time when good jobs were hard to find and my father was often in the hospital. We were rich in love but due to these financial challenges we didn't get to experience much variety or excitement in our daily meals.
A visit to my grandma's house was extra special when she made us her scratch made cardamom and nutmeg waffles and pancakes. She would top them with a variety of fruit she canned and would often drizzle them with heavy cream and maple syrup.
Such a simple luxury from my past that remains a very special food memory associated with love and care
and flavor variety.
We strive to bring that same spirit of hospitality and welcome to every customer who visits our shop and hope you feel and taste the love in everything we do.

New Seasonal! Mango with Salted Vanilla Glaze 🥭🍨🍩
Jamie really knocked it out of the park with this flavor.
Featuring champagne ( aka Honey or Ataulfo ) mangoes which are known for their smooth texture and creamy tropical flavor, with notes of peach, pineapple & citrus.
We balance a generous dollop of fresh mango compote atop our warm, made to order Belgian waffle inspired donuts, finished with a salted vanilla bean glaze, perfectly complementing the sweet and tangy mango.

Also, it seems that our business has changed into primarily birthday dozens which is not sustainable for us to be able to pay our employees living wage and provide healthcare.
When the perception of success is actually 20 to 30 people in line all getting their free birthday dozen, I felt like it was time to share some deeper insights with our supportive community.
Please commit to visiting a few times throughout the year, especially during the weekdays.
We've already gifted over 25,000 free birthday dozens last year.
Thats a lot of joy, and we would appreciate you helping our business to thrive and survive by visiting outside of your birthday this year.

We're also celebrating our 13th anniversary as a small mom and pop family business.
We could've originally opened on February 13th but we decided to wait a day, and we are so glad we did!
Everything we do is with love, for love, and by love.
Please enjoy our new seasonal: Key Lime Pie Custard, inspired by fond memories of the first date dessert Jamie and I ever shared together 28 years ago.
Who would've guessed that a chance meeting at a Modest Mouse/Built To Spill concert would bring so much joy to hundreds of thousands of people???
And for the lovers we have a passionfruit with hand crushed wild rose petals and dragonfruit powder, one day only.

Finally, please invest in your future by understanding these new realities:
A. There's rarely a line during the weekdays.
The perception of us being busy is mostly due to the dramatically increased amount of birthday dozens we are giving away: $800-$1000 worth of free birthday dozens every day.
it's a joyful thing that you have chosen to share your birthday with us but that said, we cannot thrive with a business model that basically gives away a dozen free donuts with every purchase of a drink.
The answer is not to stop this generous gift.
The answer is greater community awareness and love!
What do we need? You!
Please visit outside of your birthday on a weekday so that we can continue to pay our lovely staff a living wage, provide health insurance and assure that Pips will be around for your future.
We believe that we have consistently and generously invested in the best human insurance policy: Our community.
And we truly believe that when the community knows what we need you will respond with generosity.

Pip's X Sure Shot Burger Collab
ONE DAY ONLY
We took our famous family recipe bacon maple jam and our wildly popular banana custard and said 'how the heck do we put this together with our favorite burger in town?'
Mucho menu tweaking and a broken mustache later we had the answer and the answer is insanely delicious.
