Something I’ve been working on for the past month… a custom hand drawn calendar for my favourite lady @juicyluicy69 . I am really proud of this project, from drawing all the pages, to printing and putting together - I like it so much so that I’d like one for myself too hehe. For Lucy, I printed it on 300gsm cardstock and clipped it with a fancy bulldog clip, so each page can be reshuffled. This method was much cheaper than printing on a calendar, and hopefully means I would have the capacity to use recycled paper.

Sometimes I forget… I’m goated. I have graphic design degree. I CAN MAKE INSTAGRAM REEL. This is some work I’m super proud of from the end of 2024, my grad project ‘The Modern Gardener’
Revisiting old tunes and cruising around the Great Ocean Road. A trip I’ve wanted to do for many years, and it couldn’t have been better (we luckily missed 2 major weather events). The forest, foliage and wildlife were fascinating and so reminiscent of my childhood in the eastern hills of Victoria, especially the ferns and moss which I used to imagine fairy houses in. The wind was not rated but the beaches were beautiful, the coffee was fabulous and the people were lovely.
We also visited lots of family in Geelong for the wedding of my cousin, which was gorgeous. Such a nice time to have a celebration of love, and to have a great party with family! (I might post those photos separately)
Be Jealous! Last year I hustled and handmade almost 90% of my Xmas gifts. For my mum and dad I custom designed them some tshirts, and for my brother and his partner I made 2 interchangeable tote bags with their little (big) puppy @mrmurphy_gram . You can see each design captures something of their spirit.
I got them all printed at the @theprintbar and they came out pretty well - honestly next time I’d love to try screen sprinting but this DTG process worked pretty well especially on the thick AS colour totes. The tshirts are Comfort Colours and they are SO soft with lovely skit necklines, a design detail I was quite particular about.

You can use this technique to make any of your paper zines last a little longer, or to use up fabric scraps etc. I’m SUPER happy with how it turned out 😻
