So honored to have been “honored” at the @austtheatrefest on Monday. Congrats also to @ainsleymelham and @carmiedean (my newfound long-lost cousin!). I’m not good at being the center of attention, so I kind of pretended it wasn’t happening for the past few months, but the most wonderful group of friends rallied and showed up to support all the same - forever thankful! And while I did have to make a speech, @charlieehead performing a solo choreographed by @indiaminnie as a tribute said everything better than I ever could. And thank you to childhood friend @benjthestar for being my VIP intro guy! And while she’s not Australian, Canadian is pretty close … and DDF would never have happened without by awesome business partner Melanie who held down the fort at theater rehearsals so I could get away. A night to remember! 🇦🇺 🐨 🎭 💃🏼

First Mother’s Day without any of these monkeys at home. But so happy because they are all living their best lives where they are. 🩵💙🩷💛

If it’s your birthday, I highly recommend suggesting a random trip to a different Australian city to see your favorite band with your favorite daughter, sister and high school bestie. I don’t recommend unpacking childhood trauma with your sister at the airport and missing your plane and screeching into the venue with three minutes before curtain up, but … well worth the trip from New York!
