For the 4th year in a row, I’ve had the pleasure of serving as Creative Artist Coordinator for the @tampabaychalkfestival — a role I take seriously and deeply value. Over the years, we’ve built more than just an event; we’ve created a community, even a family, among both returning and new artists.
Building relationships, ensuring a calm and cohesive atmosphere, and providing logistics and creative direction for live events is a passion of mine. Being able to support artists while helping cultivate an inspiring and welcoming environment continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of this experience.
Hosted by the Pinellas Diaspora Arts Project, the festival takes place along 22nd Street between 7th Avenue South and 9th Avenue South on the historic The Deuces.
Every year, TBCF celebrates our collective role in caring for the global climate by blending environmental consciousness and awareness with artistic expression and storytelling. Through large-scale chalk art, community engagement, and live creative experiences, the festival creates space for dialogue, reflection, and connection through public art.
Thank you to EVERYONE involved in creating such a magical event. @yatidebi@pinellasdap thank you for your vision, tireless work and dedication.

Even with a tornado warning, the @pinellasdap Chalk Art Festival was an absolute vibe 🎨
It’s so powerful watching incredible artists transform the space underneath a highway into something full of color, life, and meaning💕 Infrastructure that once divided a community, now a canvas for reconnection. And THATs the power of public art. ✨
If you missed it, there is always next year!
This years Tampa Bay Chalk Festival was one to remember. Good old fashion fun for everyone.
