Is brain rot the new writer's block? I feel like they are two completely different things. Writer's block can be overcome with discipline. Brain rot? Sometimes it can't be helped, especially if your work involves CHURN. Ugh—a word that must die along with cheugy. Anyway, I have been experiencing a kind of brain rot lately and these books, which I have been reading in small but immensely satisfying increments, have helped. Enjoy.
Time flies and suddenly it's been a while. Happy to be active again 😅 and to share my latest 3.5 hour workshop, with Newport World Resorts 🎉 This is the longest workshop I've facilitated, and I have to say I really need to do more breathing exercises and cardio because what a workout. Still, it was a pleasure to speak before their talented and dedicated team. 💐
If you're interested in training sessions for your team, send me a message 💌
Being reunited with friends who've been in the trenches with you is a specific kind of joy—we must invent a word for it! (Is it trauma bonding LOL).
In all seriousness, working in publishing is a highly recommended experience—character-building, as they say—and it was a privilege to speak about my work in print and digital before colleagues who know the landscape so well. To my fellow speakers, ILY! 🫡
Thank you to @thebeautyedit.ph for inviting me again and congratulations on really pioneering these forums that give writers and editors a space to learn, catch-up, and grow. Truly in a class of your own 🏆✨
