Today, members of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s Honors Section proudly attended the 45th Annual
National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, which was held on the West Front of the United States Capitol, in Washington, D.C.
We are proud to have our Honor Guard represent our department and stand alongside agencies from across the nation in tribute to the fallen. 🇺🇸
Last night in Washington, D.C., members of the Pima County Sheriff's Department Honors Section stood side by side with law enforcement officers from across the nation during the Annual Candlelight Vigil, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty this past year.
As the names of the fallen were read aloud, the ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the courage, dedication, and service these heroes gave to their communities.
Our Honors Section is deeply honored to take part in such a meaningful and impactful tribute.
On May 7th, we gathered for the 2026 Pima County Sheriff’s Department Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony to honor the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
During Police Week, we pause to recognize the courage, service, and dedication of the fallen officers who gave their lives protecting our communities. Their legacy will never be forgotten, and their sacrifice will always be honored.
We also extend our gratitude to the families, friends, and fellow deputies who continue to carry their legacy forward.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Honor Guard is in Washington, D.C. this week to pay tribute to fallen law enforcement officers, including members of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
This distinguished assignment is entrusted to Honor Section members who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, service, and dedication to the mission of this unit.
Throughout the week, the team will visit several national memorials before concluding their service at the 45th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service on Friday, standing alongside agencies from across the nation to honor those who gave their lives in service to others.

Their courage, service, and dedication will never be forgotten. Every day, law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect our communities, stand for justice, and keep others safe.
