We are very happy to be returning to Liste Basel this year. We are looking forward to presenting brand new works by Hamra Abbas and İrem Tok in Basel. 💫💫💫 Our presentation brings together Hamra Abbas and İrem Tok, two artists who explore material as a carrier of memory, history, and transformation. Abbas transforms lapis lazuli, jasper, and marble into botanical stone inlays that echo architectural ornament and geological time. Tok constructs miniature, speculative landscapes from books, lichens, stones, sculptural fragments, and reflective plexiglass, where fragments of body, nature, and history converge into dense material narratives. @hamra_abbas @irem___tok @pilotgaleri @liste_art_fair_basel

Hamra Abbas and Irem Tok are participating in the 7th Mardin Biennial, opening today under the curatorship of Çelenk Bafra. Titled “SKYground,” the biennial unfolds across Mardin’s layered geography, tracing poetic connections between sky and earth, memory and imagination, the political and the spiritual. Bringing together artists from different geographies through exhibitions, performances, and site-specific works, the biennial invites viewers into a journey shaped by transformation, coexistence, and collective dreaming. @hamra_abbas @irem___tok @mardinbiennial @celenkbafra @doneotyam @irmakhakan

“ Çağatay Olgun @eceagirtmis ’in sergisi Wild Tales hakkında yazdı. @sanatatak @cagatayolgunn Yazı linkine bio’dan ulaşabilirsiniz. @pilotgaleri @sahirugureren.photo

Last two days to see ‘Wild Tales’ at PİLOT Gallery! 🌿 Ece Ağırtmış’s solo exhibition takes you through the “jungle of life” — where animals tell stories of growing up, belonging, and the invisible traps of adulthood. From cuckoo clocks to leafcutter ants, each work balances playfulness with weight. Don’t miss it. 🦄🤍🧸 📍 PİLOT Gallery, Istanbul 📅 On view through April 18.

@eceagirtmis @pilotgaleri 📸 @sahirugureren.photo

Rainy outside, but inside, it’s all color. 🌧️🌈 Wild Tales, an exhibition by Ece Ağırtmış, feels like stepping into a vivid “jungle of life”—where growing up is told through animals instead of people. Each one carries a story, a lesson, a quiet warning. On view from March 3 to April 4, 2026, Wild Tales explores the tensions between humans and nature, as well as the invisible traps of adulthood. Drawing inspiration from fables and fairy tales, Ağırtmış uses animals as symbols of our journey—navigating society, work, and personal boundaries. A reminder that growing up is never a straight path. It’s wild, layered, and full of unexpected encounters. 🌿✨ @eceagirtmis @pilotgaleri 📸 @sahirugureren.photo

From Mark Rappolt - ArtReview’s coverage of the Shanghai Biennale: “Moreover, its situated searching and attempts to understand what seems like the unknowable ground more abstract works such as @mimikoturkkan Gözde Mimiko Türkkan’s waves, or Alÿs’s struggle to understand his own fairytale and locates them in a space we might recognise as that of daily life: a little bit messy despite our attempts to order it into a routine, but inevitably present.” “Gözde Mimiko Türkkan offers up 20 hypnotic, slightly crazed red-acrylic paintings of waves… It’s an obsessive body of work that collectively suggests that everything is the same and hovering on the edge of meaningfulness and meaninglessness.” We are proud to see Gözde Mimiko Türkkan’s work resonate within the broader discourse of the biennial. On view until the end of this month at the Shanghai Biennale. 🌊🌊🌊 @mimikoturkkan @shanghaibiennale @artreview_magazine @markrappolt

You Are More Than You Know centers on a crossbill gazing into a handheld mirror. The beak, which may appear damaged, points instead to a unique adaptation and survival skill. In the mirror, its reflection is finely detailed and vivid, suggesting a depth and potential beyond what is immediately visible. A small worm on the handle refers to cycles of nourishment and connections. The work invites reflection on the layered balance between appearance and strength, simplicity and inner complexity. 🪷 📷: @sahirugureren.photo
