I have been deliberating whether to share my thoughts about my friend and brother, Wade who recently passed away, as I never want to make it about me, nor do I want to be insensitive to his family. Wade always affectionately referred to me as “Big Easy!” Every time he saw me, he would yell out, “We Want Easy” (in his NWA voice lol). This loss really hurts. You were, without a doubt, the most professional protection specialist I have ever worked with. Always smiling and willing to go above and beyond your job description, such as obtaining set lists, driving the principal, and assisting with merchandise. You were truly one of a kind, and all of us at Team Hathaway are absolutely devastated by your untimely departure. Your absence has left a void that is deeply felt. At our city winery shows in New York, two fans ended up backstage, which would have NEVER happened on your watch. I am grateful to have been able to visit you in the hospital, and I am convinced that you knew we were there. Wade Stephens we love you!!!!! Hug my dad for me 🫶🏾🙏🏽
Not every day you get to share the stage with someone who truly inspires you. Singing with THE Lalah Hathaway was an absolute honor.
