New Jungle mix up on Youtube & Soundcloud
From my February 28th appearance on In The Jungle with host Pierce Jackson from the legendary
@eastvillageradio booth. My 1st time DJing there.
Pierce has been a longtime fan of jungle, from attending Konkrete Jungle as a teenager to running his monthly parties, helping to preserve & revive the raw sounds of breakbeats and basslines.
I played almost 2 hours worth of music, but we also discussed my early raver days from attending Brooklyn’s Storm Raves to becoming one of NYC’s younger rave pioneers. From how I got my infamous alias, On-E to DJing NASA and then joining Deee-lite for their classic album Dew Drops In The Garden.
The first record I dropped is a jungle remix of Dew Drops’ Call Me, which is from the white label vinyl that appears as the thumbnail for this post.
I continue to ride out with 37 other jungle & drum & bass selections that span 1994 to present day.
This mix is heavy on the r&b vibes, rare grooves, amens, hot pants, think breaks, jungle classics & current day tunes to mash up the dance. There’s a
@timbaland remix along with a
@gyallikeclee remix and much more!
Full track listing up in the comments of my Youtube channel, where you can watch a video recording of the original live stream.
Shout out all the junglist, to all the music lovers, to the DJs, to the producers, to the promoters, to the ravers and to the Deee-lite fans.
Really excited for what the warmer weather has in store for us.
And thx again
@pierce_jackson_ for asking me to be a guest! #deeelite #rave #jungle #drumandbass
