Explore āthe motherā in her various formsāparent, ancestor, planetāin a workshop that weaves personal reflection into Side Rail Collectiveās recent gallery shows: Invisible Threads and Softer Lands.
Weāll play in stream-of-conscious writing and erasure poetry, using our own writing and collage to deepen connection to the mother(s) who shape us.
Our final act, on this week before Motherās Day: a letter for a mother, yours or anyoneās (or no oneās).
Perfect for any curious human craving reflection, connection, and play.

Anna Sullivan will be hosting a letter writing workshop at the Highline Heritage Museum on November 15, at 2pm!
Anna Sullivan is a North Bend-based artist, writer, and teacher of human connection. Her work weaves together poetry, art, yoga, and community, inviting deep engagement with the experience of human being (not ādoingā).
Handwriting is Annaās foundational medium, a practice with the power to transcend intellectual thought and allow reflection through body and heart. Her work encourages humans to step back from the screen and revel in this simple act, to connect deeply to themselves, others, the planet, the magic and mystery of living.
So much in our lives pushes us toward greater speed, scale, efficiency. Anna invites the opposite. Slow down; get personal; be wildly, beautifully inefficient.
