✨Before & After✨
For the past year PIDC has been working on something BIG👏
We're proud to announce that our brand new #website has been launched!
Our new site is appealing to the eye, extremely #userfriendly and not to mention lightning fast!
These are just some snippets of our upgrade so you should Click the link in our bio and take it for a spin yourself😎
We take pride in our logo 🙌
PIDC Construction, LLC, formally known as Vanderweil Process and Industrial Design & Construction (Vanderweil P&IDC, LLC), was originally #founded in 1996 by Gary & Bill Vanderweil, of Vanderweil Engineers, located in Boston, MA to #fitaneed and #fillagap managing the construction of infrastructure intensive projects. Vanderweil designed it, and P&IDC procured and built it.
As such, PIDC has roots in completing design/build projects requiring complex MEP coordination. We have since grown into multiple #marketsegments and established ourselves among top-tier construction management firms in a booming building market. In 2016, Vanderweil P&IDC became PIDC Construction, LLC after a company rebranding. We have since continued to evolve as a company, having the pleasure of #growing with our clients and successfully completing more #challengingwork.
The #wedge in our logo is representative of our role within a project; PIDC is ‘The Unifying Component’. We have a #crossfunctional knowledge that allows us to make an uncommon contribution to the overall #effort and #results in a level of integrated #projectdelivery that brings certainty to a project’s scope, cost, and schedule. We are a true team member working with #projectpartners to collaborate in a highly efficient, unified, and #synergistic manner.
The ability to influence the outcome of a #construction project is never greater than at the very beginning.
At #PIDC, we continually ask ourselves “why” from the earliest stages of conception to challenge the status quo.
We apply our deep cross-functional knowledge to make an uncommon contribution to the overall effort.
As a result, there is a level of integrated project delivery that brings certainty to a project’s scope, cost and schedule.
PIDC serves as #TheUnifyingComponent for the entire project team - filing the gaps our clients aren’t even aware of.

Today marks the end of Construction Safety Week. This year, it took place from May 4th - May 8th. The primary focus for this industry led awareness event is to promote and recognize safe culture throughout the construction industry.
This year’s theme was “All In Together”, sparking a five-year vision centered around a shared responsibility across all project phases to effectively unify construction processes and mitigate hazards. The three pillars of action for this year are Recognize (Identify high-energy hazards), Respond (Act on safety threats), & Respect (Value safety and human life)
This year we held our safety outing at TopGolf where we not only discussed safe practices across projects but got a few swings in with the nice weather ⛳

PIDC was proud to attend Heading Home’s 2026 House Warming event as a Ground Floor Partner. The event took place at the Citizens House of Blues on March 31st.
Heading Home’s mission is to end homelessness in the greater Boston area and are a leading provider of emergency shelter and housing for families in Massachusetts. This year, they were able to raise over $2.6M to help those in need!
We’re proud to be a partner and supporter for many years to come!

PIDC was recently hired to convert and update three specialty lab spaces at a local university. One of the lab rooms required a specialized Electro Magnetic Shielding be applied in order to reduce low frequency EMF levels to support their research.
With the help of FMS technologies, we were able to install special 1/4" aluminum plating to the walls, ceilings, and floor with 100% seam welds. The shielding process took about 5 weeks to complete and despite the numerous challenges along the way, we were able to keep the project on schedule and under budget.
Recently, this specialized room was tested and it was noted that EMF levels are three times lower than the required specified minimums.
Another successful project and satisfied client!

Happy 10 Year Anniversary Steve!🥳

How has your job changed over the past 10 years? I wouldn’t say my primary Job of managing projects has changed very much. I’ve been managing complex and diverse projects that vary in size year over year since day 1. The end goal of all our projects is “customer satisfaction” by simply “doing the right thing”. With that said, my increased responsibilities of managing new and existing clients has been a positive change that brings great satisfaction to my job.
What accomplishments/successes are you most proud of after 10 years with PIDC? My most memorable and successful job is the Core & Shell project located at 25 Spinelli in Cambridge. This transformation of an old Charleston Chew candy distribution building to a world class lab was by far the most successful transformation of a building I’ve ever constructed.
When you were in kindergarten, what did you want to be when you grew up? A Machinist like my father

Happy 20 Year Anniversary Dianne!🥳\

So Dianne...
What advice would you give to someone first starting out in this industry? Work in as many departments as you can to learn all facets of construction to allow yourself different opportunities within the industry based on your lifestyle's needs.
What accomplishment/success are you most proud of after your 20 years at PIDC? I believe it would be the ability to create a strong/dependable department and mentor younger people to move forward in their careers. Sometimes it is nice to be measured by the success of others you have trained.
What is your favorite way to spend your time outside of the office? I love to be active with travel, hiking, biking and playing golf.

Happy 5 Year Anniversary Andrew! His 5 year was in January but we still have to celebrate 🥳
Drop a comment and wish him a big congrats! 🎉
So Andrew...
What is your favorite part of this job? My favorite part of this job is that everyday presents new challenge. It takes the entire team and critical thinking to resolve the challenges that arise. At the end of the project, when the client is satisfied with the result, it’s a very rewarding feeling to know that you were apart of the construction process and were able to overcome the challenges.
What accomplishment/success are you most proud of after 5 years at PIDC? I am most proud of completing the 5 BW Project (Burlington, MA), which included core/shell and tenant improvements. The project lasted over a year and following its completion, a tenant immediately signed a lease, occupying one of the suites. Also, the success of the project contributed to PIDC forming a new relationship with Montana Avenue Capital (owner of the property), leading to more projects at the end of 2025 and into 2026.
