Sometimes as a photographer/ videographer you have weeks that are filled with shoot after shoots! But this wasnāt one of those for me! Which is 100% okay! So I made this little video to exercise my creativity lol (kinda wanna make a YouTube channel š)
Im posting this for 2 reasons!!
1. I like the video lol. It was fun creating it
2. (The main reason) Iām posting this because itās uncomfortable. As a business owner Im always stuck between posting client work or random work or personal life. And that 100% stops me from posting anything! Who else can relate? So my goal for myself is to just post! And thatās what this is for me.

This year by far has been the BEST and the WORST year of my life. I definitely tried posting more but life happened andddd disappeared for a bit lol
For my small Photo/ video business itās been so amazing!!! I set a goal for myself this year (financially) and actually hit it back in September!!! 3 months before the end of the year!!! Iāve had so many awesome opportunities!!! Traveled to 2/3 states! Made content for freakin DBU ! Took portraits of doctors USMDS! ( even shot in the operating room! š¤Æ) Met the mayor of Forth Worth and the CEO of a bank! š® Worked with/ for an amazing media company (shout out to @aumemotionarts ) Worked alongside some awesome creatives!! Worked with the best clients!! The list goes on and on!!! I donāt want to bore you lol. Basically this year filled me creatively and I enjoyed every second of it!!!
Youāre probably like āso Daniel, why was it the worst year of your life?ā Amongst many things. The month of September changed my life. 9:46 pm on September 29th my dad passed away. The man who I aspired to be In every area of life. The man whoās work ethic was unmatched. My dad taught me how to pray, change my oil, drive a manual car, fix a washer machine (lol), gave me the encouragement I needed for my business, and list can go on and on and on! I miss my dad every single day. There are scenarios im in and I think āI wonder how my dad would react to this. Or I bet he would respond like thisā. I do know that he is in a better place. I know heās chillin in heaven! Probably having coffee and pan dulce with Jesus lol.

Note to self: You got this dude. You may lose motivation but never lose discipline. Do what needs to be done. Because no one will do it for you. Keep those goals in front of you. Keep God first. Your priorities in check. Work on your business like your life depends on it. Nourish your friendships. And always be humble. 2021 here we go! š„
ā¢Closing 2020ā¢
2020 has been a ride for every single one of us!!! It hasnāt been easy at all!! But to those who still strived, who still worked hard, who still dedicated countless hours to your craft, cried and pushed through the struggles, who still kept your head up high, GOOD JOB TO YOU!!! And for those who didnāt, thatās okay!!! Get up on your feet and start working towards that!!
One word that describes this year for me is growth! Growth in every aspect of my life!! And to end the year Iām posting my favorite video that Iāve made to date ( as some of you saw on my story ). To see my video work from where itās come to where itās at now blows my mind. And there still SO MUCH more room for growth but having fun during the process is what matters.
