You know what’s really funny is how I’ve been trying to make this post 3x but I keep getting distracted and then I wanted to apologize for being so quiet on here but then I realized it’s also good to take some time to yourself to be present for those around. It’s been a hectic month but I’m forever grateful for the connections, laughter and happiness I’ve felt the past few weeks just getting to spend time with those I love! Hi friends 👋 Thought I’d do a little re-introduction cause it’s been a while ☺️ for those who are new - I’m Vanessa (Ness to most) been photographing for over a year now and I’ve been blessed with some really cool opportunities to create with and share milestones with some of the best clients a photographer could ever ask for (tho they feel more like friends when we work together). Tbh, it’s still a little uncomfortable for me to be in front of the camera so I’m glad this year has been all about pushing me out of my comfort zone, and I can’t wait to see how we grow in 2026 💟 thank you for everyone’s love and support 💟

Hi friends 🤍 it’s been a whole 5 months since I’ve last been active on my photography page, and while most people are probably making sure that they stay active and relevant but as someone operating in such a saturated market I’m not ashamed to admit that I actually really enjoyed the down time I had these past 5 months 🤍 In these 5 months: I’ve celebrated milestones without thinking about scheduling and celebrate holidays without planning the perfect shot I started the new year (western and lunar) being more aware and reflective and that to me looked like closing some chapters in my life I picked up some new hobbies and turns out I’m pretty good at them?? I started crocheting and even made my first sweater for my boyfriend. I started finding some joy in gardening too! I started becoming more present for Benji, by signing him up for some extra curriculars and boy is it rewarding to see him grow up and learn some independence and be so brave with trying new things that would have scared him before I finally started living — I put my life on pause for a while for survival mode but recently I’ve finally gotten into a better rhythm with everything going on and for the first time in a while I felt like I was myself again If you’ve made it down this far, thank you! Excited to be back and can’t wait to see what we create.

Spotify wrapped really reminded me to look back at what we’ve accomplished this year 💛 This year we did: 2 pregnancy shoots 2 events 3 branding shoots 2 engagements 3 multigenerational family sessions Shot our first wedding!! From a hardware standpoint - We acquired a second camera, 2 new lenses, 3 new SDcards and 1 new external hard drive ✨ 2025 has been so fun getting to meet new people and connecting with so many people to really challenge myself creatively. I’m grateful for all the friends and new clients that have trusted me to take some of their milestones and I’m beyond excited to see what 2026 has in store for us. Most honourable mention to @jenniiee.n and @bradthecameraguy for listening to me cry almost every week.
