Thursday’s Employee Appreciation Day was a good one 💕
With a mountain cleanup, crew laps, and a great spread to keep everyone fueled, it was a fun way to celebrate the people who make our mountains special.
Thank you to our entire team for all the hard work, passion, and energy you bring all season long.

Throwback Thursday, all the way back to the mid 60s.
A lot has changed since this brochure was printed. But at its core, Pico hasn’t.
It’s still a place where families gather, traditions take shape, and every visit feels like coming home.
As we look ahead to our 90th season next winter, we’re holding onto what matters most.
How long have you been calling Pico home?
#mypicomtn
Happy Earth Day! Here’s to protecting the places we play, explore, and call home.
The mountains take care of us, so let’s return the favor each and every day💚🌎
Mark your calendars for VT Green Up Day on May 2nd. Grab your Green Up bags at Killington Town Hall, the Transfer Station, Public Safety Building, or the Welcome Center and help clean up our community and natural environment.

Winter really said “one more for the road” ❄️
We may be closed for the season, but a fresh coat on Pico has us missing those turns already.
Who else is counting down to next season?

With the 2025/26 season now behind us, we’re taking a moment to celebrate an influential member of our team and community, Jim L.
After an incredible career in the ski industry, Jim, our Pico Fitness Center and Pico Tickets Coordinator, has officially retired.
Jim’s journey began in 1983 at Stratton, followed by years at Sunday River before finding his way back to Pico, where he grew up skiing with his family. As Jim put it, “People who like Pico, love Pico.”
Jim is looking forward to continuing to uphill as much as possible, just as he regularly did on the slopes of Pico.
We’re also excited to share that Chris H. will be stepping into the role of Pico Fitness Center Manager as Jim moves on to his next chapter.
Congratulations to Jim on a successful career. We wish him nothing but the best in retirement!

We wrapped up the season the way we always do: one final lap from the summit, featuring a big group of familiar faces and a lot of appreciation for the winter we just had.
Thank you to everyone who spent time with us this season, whether it was your first day ever at Pico or your 30th season on the hill.
Days like this are what Pico is all about.
We’ll see you next winter!

Happy Easter, Pico Family🐣
Easter magic filled the Pico Base Lodge on closing day as our youngest shredders searched high and low for sweet surprises. Moments like these are what make Pico feel like home.

The Easter Bunny is dropping off a YETI mug on closing day with a voucher inside for a set of Nokian Tyres.
Find it on the mountain tomorrow, keep the mug, and tag @PicoMtn and @NokianTyresNA on Instagram in a story to spread the stoke and redeem your code.
Let's send the season off on a high note. Happy hunting at our Easter Egg Hunt!

We are saddened to share that the Outpost Double will be retired after nearly six decades of service.
Originally installed in 1969, the lift has long been a defining part of our character and a gateway to some of our most coveted terrain. Following a main drive shaft failure earlier this winter, the lift underwent a comprehensive engineering review. After exploring all possible repair options, it became clear that returning the lift to service was not feasible due to its age and the lack of available parts for what is now the last of its kind in North America.
While this marks the end of an era, we are committed to maintaining access to the Outpost terrain pod. We are actively exploring temporary options for next season, including the possibility of a rope tow. However, given current state permitting timelines and the lead time required to source and install a new lift, a full replacement will not be in place for next winter.
We know this one will hit home for a lot of people. For many of us, the Outpost Double was more than just a chairlift. It truly was part of what made Pico, Pico. We appreciate your understanding as we work through a new solution for this area.
Stay tuned for an opportunity to own a piece of history, as Outpost chairs will be going up for auction later this summer.

88 days, 190" of snow, and countless memories made.
We saw new skiers and riders build confidence on the new Bonanza Carpet with regraded, more beginner and adaptive-friendly terrain, expanded access in the base lodge with a new lift connecting floors, and a packed calendar of events that brought the community together all winter long.
Out on the hill, more than 660 Vermont students joined us each week through our Midweek School Program, a reminder that the next generation of the Pico family is already on the rise.
Let’s wrap it up the right way.
Join us Thursday through Sunday for closing weekend, including an Easter Egg Hunt on April 5 and one final group lap from the summit.
What was your favorite Pico moment this season?
