‘I Dream of a Timeless Utopia’ is a project exploring a personal search for a world where time doesn’t exist - a vision of utopia within a dystopia, where what the photographer longs for will always remain out of reach.
Through photography, handwritten fragments, and delicate details, the work reflects on the impossibility of preserving a person, a moment, or a feeling, as time inevitably moves forward. This realisation causes the narrative to unfold like a vivid dream - unruly, chaotic, and saturated with emotion and longing.
A subtle power dynamic emerges as the narrative shifts, between the photographer and time itself, as the camera becomes a tool of loud resistance - an attempt to hold onto fleeting moments and people as they slip away beyond control, ultimately, seeking solace in the act of preservation.

We’re incredibly proud to officially announce the release of our photobook, ‘Found in Translation’.
This photo book is the result of a six-month collaboration between Nihon University College of Art, Tokyo, and London College of Communication, UAL. It features the work of eleven emerging photographers and artists - Noam Dee, Rikio Fujii, Kosuke Kitanaga, Hinako Kuwata, Yuto Odagiri, Niharika Pathak, Jasmine Rogers, Jialin Sun, Suzi Teal, Miku Yamauchi, and Shunsuke Yamawake - arranged into four thematic sections and complemented by specially commissioned essays by renowned writers and photography specialists.
In addition to this, ‘Found in Translation’ will be launched and sold at Photo London (@photolondonfair ) this weekend! It’s an honour to share this work on such a prestigious platform, alongside an inspiring group of collaborators.
