We were granted the honour of being the guest performers for this year's @gfamalaysia competition. @monsieur_jake@bennedict1995 and I did our best on that day to put on our best despite our band being one man down on that day.
It was a nerve-wracking show to play because there were many others there who were so talented. I could barely keep my hands from shaking after witnessing what the contestants had to offer on that day.
I'd like to use the opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in making this event such a successful one. From the amazing crew who helped all of us set up our gear on and off stage, to the sounds crew, lighting crew, and of course the amazing organiser @gfamalaysia .
Not forgetting the new friends we made on that day 🫶

This short demo uses the @neuraldsp #NanoCortex to recreate some of the distorted tones with the tonal characteristics I was looking for my latest single What's Left of Me.
I love how easy it is to dial in great tones, just a few taps on your phone or tablet and you're there.
I know I'm only scratching the surface of what the Nano Cortex can do, and I'm excited to keep exploring its full potential.

Since I first picked up the guitar, I never dreamed of being the best. I just wanted to make music with my band and someday share the stage with a full orchestra. Though that dream hasn’t happened yet, but @eastwestsounds and their #composercloud have brought me closer than I ever thought possible.
People often ask how I use the EWS virtual instruments in my songs, so I put together this little demo to show what happens behind the main band instruments. To me, these sounds aren’t just tools, they’ve become like bandmates I can always count on.
I’m deeply grateful for what they’ve allowed me to create, and the best way I know to give back is by making music that hopefully touches hearts around the world.
Here’s to many more years of creating together. ❤️

I love that it doubles as both an audio interface and an amp modeler. A huge plus for reducing laptop workload. Its portability definitely makes up for the fact that it only has two footswitches.
I’m still figuring out if it’ll cover everything I need for live gigs, but for practice and recording, it’s definitely a powerhouse. In terms of value, it’s hard to beat if you want top tier tones without sacrificing space.
In this demo, you’ll hear the same distorted tone. One pitch-shifted down an octave and the other one with a straight up brutal distortion with an overdrive to tighten the low end.
(And yes — that’s a single coil on the bridge 😉)
