We took a trip to Atlanta this week and picked up some original, new old stock FAN-ees, made by a company out of Cumming, GA back in 1997. We have a lot of questions on the name they chose for this brand, but let’s not get off track.

The biggest misconception about our business is that we thrift everything for $1 and then immediately put it out on the racks for 50x or more.

And don’t get us wrong, we understand why people have that preconceived notion about vintage businesses. It’s not uncommon to go online and buy a vintage piece, only to receive it smelling like smoke or your grandpas attic.

But our priority from day one has not only been to provide the best vintage collegiate apparel we can, but to provide the CLEANEST and most wearable. If someone is choosing to spend their hard earned money with us, then we’re going to provide them with a premium product. If we didn’t, then we’d just be a thrift store.
It’s wild to think we’re coming up on 5 years of Picked. So much has changed since we first opened in 2021.

What hasn’t changed is our desire to provide the absolute best experience we can for you all. This decision to focus our efforts on our collegiate apparel wasn’t easy. Big business changes never are. But we know that this is going to allow us to expand heavily on the products and experiences that you all expect from us.

In business, you adapt or die. Thank you to all of you who have stuck with us all these years. Through every adaptation and version of Picked there has been. We couldn’t be here without your support.
These posts are always bittersweet. We’ll keep it short. Thank you for making us part of your time here in Tallahassee. From game days to $10 sales, you guys have shown up for all of it.
