Can't believe it's just TWO DAYS until we join @dillingerfour & Public Acid for a trio of gigs.
D.C. and Boston are sold out. Brooklyn (which, we'll note, is just a short drive from Philly), this is your last chance...final tickets at the link In our stories.
See you soon. xo pib

Don't start believing in god or anything, but all the same, here's a miracle for you: we are playing THREE SHOWS in the NORTHEAST with DILLINGER FOUR and PUBLIC ACID.
PUBLIC ACID, of course, released the best record of THIS year, we, of course, released the best record of LAST year, and DILLINGER FOUR, of course, are perhaps the greatest musical group in this nation’s history. Believe it:
Nov 22 / Brooklyn, NY @ The Brooklyn Monarch
Nov 23 / Washington, DC @ St. Stephen's Church
Nov 24 / Cambridge, MA @ The Sinclair
Tickets for the shows go on sale tomorrow at 10am. You have no idea how long we have been trying to make this happen, and who knows when something like this might occur again, so you'd better join us.

We wanted to take a moment to extend our deep gratitude to everyone who came out to the California shows and made them a truly memorable trio of days for us. While on some level, we of course knew it'd been 11 years since we played the Golden State, once we arrived to each venue, we were confronted with the incredible, unimaginable reality of you all sustaining, or renewing (or perhaps even beginning) your engagement with our band. It's not something we take lightly, and truly, it's something that means more now than ever. That said, the sheer number of people who came up to us and said they hadn't seen PIB since 2008, 2009, well, it underscored another reality: we really gotta do this more often. x

OC was a BLAST. So fortunate to get to share the stage with SWEAT, ENTRY, & DANGERS. Our thanks to them, to Nate / SOS, and everyone who came out and made it such a cool fucking night. We wrap up TONIGHT in SF, see you soon…

As far as we can tell, PIB are the first people to play Fury (D.C.), Groundwork, Kill The Man Who Questions, The Mandela Strikeforce, C.R., I Hate You., The Suspects, Forward, & Look Back And Laugh on NTS Radio. Isn’t that reason enough to have a listen to our episode of Yesterday’s News with Lorraine Petel? It’s up now, at the link in our stories. Please enjoy.
Unbelievable as it may seem, it is nevertheless true: Our first west coast shows in a decade kick off in Los Angeles in just a few days, THIS THURSDAY, in fact, at The Echo. If you’re reading this, you’re likely aware that we don’t play out very often, and we never do it without putting in a lot of thought and care first. Of course these gigs are no different. Three shows, each featuring a bill of head-to-toe killers, all very much worth your while.
For us, when it comes to playing out, there’s a bit of an internal conflict at work that we’ve learned is actually a sort of engine that powers this whole thing. For starters, we don’t like to play without a good reason to, and we don’t like to play shows that aren’t both fully exciting to all of us, and ideologically in line with how we’ve always liked to do things. At the same time, frustratingly, it is without a doubt our favorite thing to do. And so then when we finally DO get to play, the conflict is reconciled, however briefly, and it’s transcendent. It’s the thing.
The records, the months of tirelessly whipping ourselves into shape with marathon practices, all that, it’s doorway, and this weekend we get to walk through it with you, and a collection of some of the greatest modern hardcore punk bands California has to offer.
As well, it is both our duty and our privilege to inform you that, somehow, the band has never sounded tighter or more ferocious. We are ready to rip. And seeing as we’ve no idea when we’ll be back out this way, we very much hope you can make it to a show.
We’ll see ya very soon.

P.S. A bunch of have people asked, so: We’ll have the last few copies of the gig-only version of the ‘Famine’ 12” for sale (limited to 150) at the shows (until they run out), plus some of the other limited colors, who knows, maybe some ‘Paradise’ LPs too? Really the only way to find out is to GET TO THE GIG™
