After the reel, so many of you messaged with kindness and encouragement, which made sitting with these images feel even more meaningful. What I see now isn’t a “new version” of myself so much as a little more space around the familiar one: less bracing, less hiding, a touch more ease 😅
As a Liedbegleiterin, I’m used to shaping the frame more than stepping into it. I value that deeply. But allowing myself to be seen here, even briefly, felt like an extension of the same care: for the music, yes, but also for the person creating these soundscapes and a certain presence in the room.
Majorly grateful for a process that felt playful, safe, and surprisingly affirming 💃🏼and for reaffirming that confidence doesn’t have to be loud to be real. 📣

Our Festival launches in exactly a month!! We kick off at noon with a Carl Loewe-inspired masterclass for our Young Artists from Lieder expert Richard Stokes, professor at the @royalacademyofmusic . Then at 5pm Stokes introduces songs by Loewe and the music from our evening concert, with musical examples provided by bass-baritone @isaac_tolley and Artistic Director @pianolieder

The Day of Dreams concludes with our first ever Song Exchange, combining the haunting melodies of Persian song with the intimate Lied tradition, woven together with live cello improvisations. The recital features Kian Ravaei’s Gulistan alongside an evocative new commission from Composer in Residence, Emily Hazrati with librettists @nomadicnazli , paired with works by Schubert, Fauré and both Gustav and Alma Mahler. Inspired by the 14th-century poet Hafiz’s utopian visions of harmony and Goethe’s stirring response, his West-Eastern Divan, pianist Jocelyn Freeman curates a thoughtfully interwoven programme with emerging artists for an heart-warming culmination to our 2026 Festival.
