𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑 Daniel Ehimen is an accomplished and versatile filmmaker based in Lagos, Nigeria. With a background in biochemistry and experience as a live sound engineer, he brings a unique perspective and technical expertise to his craft. In 2014, Ehimen transitioned into filmmaking, shooting his first short film and quickly falling in love with cinematography. He had the opportunity to be mentored by renowned cinematographer Shane Hurlbut through the Shane Inner Circle program, further honing his skills and knowledge. Ehimen has a wide range of experience in the industry, having lensed several short and feature films, including the critically acclaimed “When Love Happens Again” and “Sergeant Tutu.” He has also worked on high-profile commercial projects for brands such as Budweiser, Visa, Heineken, Nestel, Mnet, Financial Times, YouTube, Toyokalon, and Squadron. In 2021, he directed and lensed the feature film “Bani” and directed 2 And 3 seasons of the TESB show for Paramount Africa. In addition to his work as a Director and Director of photography, Ehimen is also a CANON AMBASSADOR and a skilled colorist, having completed courses in color management, feature film color grading, and commercial color grading. He is the owner of PI Image Productions, a Lagos-based production company. With a strong portfolio of both commercial and independent work, and numerous nominations and awards, including BEST AFRICAN SHORT FILM and BEST AFRICAN CINEMATOGRAPHER, Ehimen is a highly sought-after talent in the Nigerian film industry.
