Bob Popovics Auction - Presented by Project Healing Waters
Join @phwff for the auction of one of fly fishing’s most prolific anglers and fly innovators, Bob Popovics. The auction will contain many of his personal fly fishing gear including 26 Tibor reels and display-quality flies, all of which are verified with a certificate of authenticity.
A Vietnam veteran and Marine, Bob always supported service men and women. Charity auction purchases can be tax-deductible, and 100% of the proceeds go to support @phwff .
“He cared about everyone and was always so generous with his time. But Bob was well aware of the healing power of fly fishing and tying, and he always had a connection with other vets and went out of his way to help them. Project Healing Waters is a logical extension of that,” said Bob’s friend Captain Paul Dixon @captainpauldixon .
The auction opens Monday, May 11 at 10am EST, and closes Saturday, May 16 @10pm EST.

Starting May 11, we’ll be hosting an online auction featuring the personal fly fishing collection of Bob Popovics, generously donated by the Popovics family in support of Project Healing Waters.
This collection includes engraved saltwater reels, some of his personally tied flies, and gear that reflects a lifetime of passion for the water. Every bid placed helps support Veterans as they find connection, purpose, and healing through the outdoors.
Bob was a Marine Corps Veteran who discovered fly tying after returning home, a pursuit that brought him peace and direction. Through this auction, his legacy continues in a powerful way, helping others walk a similar path forward.
