Try your hand at Monster Battle Badminton, developed and designed by the artist Phuc Van Dang. The project invites players into a space of play, competition, and invention, where a racket is used to send the shuttlecock across specially designed tables created in connection with the European and World Championships in Horsens.
Badminton has origins tracing back to older racket and shuttle games, evolving through different cultures and histories. More broadly, it reflects a timeless human fascination with games built around sending a ball or object over a barrier such as a net—an act of challenge, skill, and shared rules.
In Phuc Van Dang’s interpretation, badminton becomes more than a sport. It is a field of reflection, where philosophical ideas about play, space, and interaction are embedded within the physical experience of the game.
The result is a fun and challenging activity that is open to everyone.✌🏼

Vi har teamet op med den lokale og erfarne kunstner Phuc Van Dang og inviterer til et sommerhold, hvor du lærer street art fra bunden.
Du arbejder med teknikker som paste up, stencils og klistermærker og bliver guidet hele vejen af Phuc, som har stor erfaring med både små og store værker – og med at bringe kunsten ud i byens rum.
Ugen starter med eksperimenter og idéudvikling og ender med, at vi sammen skaber et stort fælles street art-værk, hvor deltagernes idéer former resultatet 🤝
Kender du en ung, der gerne vil prøve kræfter med street art og lære af en ægte kunstner? Så er det nu, du skal slå til!

Fragments of sound and nature
Phuc Van Dang draws in black ink, letting forms emerge like traces of life on paper, while Katrine Ring shapes a living soundscape inspired by nature’s voices, rhythms, and hidden structures. Image and sound unfold together—listening, responding, dissolving—into a shared, fluid language that evokes both the richness and fragility of the natural world.
The performance lasts around 40 minutes and is entirely improvised. It opens into a 40-minute workshop, where participants imagine biodiversity, future species, and nature in transformation.
During the workshop, Katrine Ring performs a DJ set inspired by Natsværmeren, weaving together natural and musical elements into a calm, immersive atmosphere.
