First loaded overnight tryout for the Dales Divide 600K event I entered a month ago. Route plotted to Burleway bothy for a wee kip. Excited to explore some off-road mountain sections I've been curious about. I'd forgotten just how much faffing it takes to pack a bike properly without chucking in extra shit for comfort. Oh, and I've started making bike rice snax. Super tasty. Today's are abborrio rice, peanut butter and Jam from Billberrys we pick in the summer from Whitelee windfarm (home of fast gravel). I feel annoyingly wholesome.......
Finally got round to starting to sort the bike room out with a new wall hanging setup. Supper cheap Vonhaus brackets 2 (6bikes worth) for just over 40 sqid getting the bikes off the floor and tidy. Phew. now to tidy the unphotographed pile of nonsence on the other side of the room😬
Day 2 and we're of into the beautiful wilds of the Cairngorms. Super easy packing up thanks to the amazing TailFin bag n rack. yesterday I loved it's large open side pockets for stashing Jacket, snax and anything else while still moving. It's an exceptionly we'll designed peice of kit and it's so stable over tech terrain. Nice one @tailfincycling you nailed it💪. And kev, promise to clean it before returning to ya🙈 @noni_cycles
Adventure ahoy! It's go time. Porridge in tum n off to meet Hans in Glasgow for two days up to Inverness before wrestling with the Badger (Divide) back to glasgow for a cool 600K😬.
Supa stoked to have borrowed an amazing @tailfincycling AeroPack courtesy of @noni_cycles and the wonderfully talented Kev Pollock. Time to see what bikepacking without the evers shifting weight distribution of a seat pack feels like. I suspect A M A Z I N G !
