Ribbit ribbit... It's the phrog! 🐸
They know a thing or two about sticky icky bass music, and we are so ready to immerse 🍯 @phrognosis
Phrögnosis is a non-binary DJ based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia, known for weaving together deep, brain-tickling bass with immersive, groove-forward storytelling. Their sound lives in the liminal spaces — murky lows, textured rhythms, and moments of tension that ripple into release.
With a penchant for the deep and delightfully dank, Phrögnosis has a rare ability to ride the wave while simultaneously shaping it — crafting sets that feel alive, unpredictable, and fully embodied. Equal parts swamp mystic and dancefloor instigator, they create an atmosphere where the crowd sinks in, locks together, and moves as one.
They’ve brought their signature pond energy to notable East Coast stages including Relics Music Festival, Critical Mass, and Future Forest Music & Arts Festival — steadily building a reputation for sets that are as thoughtful as they are heavy.

Bass music for the queers, weirds & neurodivergent pals. WRMII is a lil' East Coast nonbinary bass babe with a love for community projects. Their sound is distinct - deep, dark & a little strange. Beyond their bass-heavy sets, WRMII is an avid community supporter. They co-produce shows by Coupl'a Queers, co-op shows where ALL profits are split between the performers, who are primarily femme, queer, and trans artists. They have been spotted all across the Maritimes, playing events such as Halifax Pride mainstage, Future Forest, Raven Forest, Vitality Festival and Critical Mass. WRMII is here to represent and demand space for our queer and neurodivergent communities. You do not want to miss the nonsense within the wormhole. Get ready to squirm. 🐛

Breaking news: They have landed! Unidentified freaky objects are INVADING @rumours.hfx on March 6!
We have observed the behavior of these creatures and determined that they are attracted to flashy neon colours, the rumble of bass music, and dancing with one another in large groups with no particular sexual preference...
They are here, they're queer, and Area 51 is nowhere near... So let's show them how we party here on the East coast 🎉 👽
You can choose to dress up to fit in with our newly found Freaks or come as you are, and the best costume will win a $100 CASH PRIZE!

Halifax. What the helly was even that?? Y'all showed up for me. In what I consider to be a very dark time. I am speechless. I am grateful. I am also like experiencing a lot of strange shame and embarrassment, but I know that's stuff and inner demons I am working through.
I don't have the proper words to convey just how much this meant to me. You keep me going. You are being the change. THIS is community. This is our collective. This is @couplaqueers and it's only just the beginning.
Hugest shout out to my sibling in shenanigans, @wrmiidubs for pulling out all the stops and organizing the pals who wanted to be involved. Thank you to everyone who came and who was a part of this very special event. 🖤
I can't tag everyone who made this possible. But I love you. So fucking much. Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for sharing your stories with each other through the night, those memories and kind words made their way back to me, new and old. <3 we got this fam.
✨About Last Night✨……
The local bass 🔊 crew assembled in honour of one of our own @phrognosis . Jess is not only a beloved member of the scene behind the decks, but they are also a valuable contributor behind the lens 📸 @jessjudge.photo and a talented little bean of the dance flow @spacepaws_ 🤹 But that’s not all - Jess is also one of my trusted, chosen fam - they are a caregiver and companion to my mom, Christine. 💗
Jess has recently begun untangling (literally) some complicated and interrelated health concerns - in the process, it’s been hell trying to find the right balance of work, creativity, rest, mental health and safe housing. Last night the community SHOWED UP, with all proceeds going support them in this trying time. This wouldn’t be possible without the efforts of @wrmiidubs to organize the second annual Coupla Queers event, plus silent auction and raffle. Did I mention the laundry list of performers and artists that volunteered their time and offer a top tier lineup??! Socks blown off. We love you, Phrog. You got dis 💪
PS, last night was probably the first time in 6 years that both my besties @msimoesre and @andreaella22 (no photos taken, oops!) joined me at a show!!! 🥰 HEART IS FULL!
🥹✨🙌❤️🐸
