Something that I keep saying to myself so often it’s become my own affirmation…”what if it all works out?”. It’s right there in the possibility of it all falling into place exactly as it should. So every day, I just put another foot forward and let it all be what it’s gonna be.
I’m so glad I’ve gotten back to adding these round ups of things I want. Lately I’ve been thinking about adding different things to my home so this post is all about home. You know it wouldn’t be a home post without highlighting some art. I need those outdoor candle holders asap. Also that sconce is beautiful and looks like it’s wearing jewelry.
It’s been a while since I did a round up of “shit Marie wants” so I decided to start the year off right. First of all, I have had my eye on this YSL loafer and I’m thinking of picking them up when I’m in Italy next month. They are the classic style and I’ve been feeling loafers lately… I feel like I am headed to my loafer era. Just grown and casual. Next, I wanna talk about this purse/clutch. I mean be for real. The mixed leathers on here are beautiful. The wood shapes on the ends?? Seriously giving me everything I need. You all know I love everything denim. It’s actually a problem. I keep telling myself I can’t buy anything else that’s denim, but I am constantly pushing the limits. This denim jacket is different than any that I own, and I love the high collar. I think it’s definitely a really good statement piece and I think 2026 is the year I finally get my ring by @starling because I deserve. #shitmariewants
I’m gonna be honest and let you know that some of my decisions in life have been sketchy. I’m flawed, but always working to be the best version of myself. Truly, one of the best decisions I ever made was to choose this girl as my best friend. It’s so weird to feel like you have someone else that just mirrors you so much. I was looking for something last night and found these two baby pictures of us and honestly got emotional. The other day when I was at her house, I saw that she had a gallery wall in her bedroom with pictures of just her and I. I got so emotional when I saw it that I really didn’t even mention it much, but it’s so beautiful to have a friendship like we have. I pray that all women are able to find at least one friend that feels like home. One friend where they do not have to perform for. They can be their true self and find absolute acceptance. I know from our friendship alone that I have had a life well lived. ♥️ love you Shaybae and I hope all your truest desires come true because you deserve it all.
As the year winds down, I wanted to do a round up of my Book Club crew. These girls have truly made my life so much better. I’ve heard a lot of people talking about wanting to join a Book Club, but at the end of the day, sometimes you have to start what you’re looking for so if you can’t find the exact type of Book Club you want to join then you might as well start one. We’ve had some amazing reads this year and a ton of crazy stories and laughs. We ended up doing a Friendsgiving this year, which was honestly the best idea… I don’t even remember who came up with it, but it was a perfect choice. Huge thank you to all my Book Club ladies. One of the members even flies in for it from Boston and that is pure dedication.
