Malik Al-Sultan, a 28-year-old freelance digital creator from Saudi Arabia, spent over a year planning a road trip that most people would write off as impossible — driving his Toyota Land Cruiser pickup more than 5,600 miles from Saudi Arabia all the way to Norway to fulfill a lifelong dream of seeing the northern lights. Rather than flying, he chose the road so he could experience 19 countries along the way, passing through Kuwait, Turkey, Germany, and Denmark before crossing into the Arctic.
When the aurora finally appeared above him after three weeks on the road and temperatures dropping to minus 26°C, he said no photo or video could have prepared him for it. “There’s a deep stillness, a sense of awe. You feel small — in the best possible way.” He added that the journey itself became just as meaningful as the destination: “I will always remember both together, because one could not exist without the other for me.”
Cheyenne photographer Pete Arnold spent years perfecting a method for capturing wildlife without the endless wait — placing a GoPro on a tripod near burrowing owl holes and setting it to time-lapse, letting the camera run through thousands of frames while the owls went about their lives completely unaware. After sifting through 4,000 photos, he hit the jackpot with a single frame that had no business being this perfect.
The result is a triple-threat shot — one owl filling the entire left side of the frame with an intense, unblinking close-up stare, a second doing a full confused head-tilt just behind it, and a third caught completely mid-flight in the background against a dramatic sky. It’s the kind of photo that makes you think it was staged, but that’s exactly what 4,000 frames of patience looks like. Shot by Pete Arnold.
Istanbul is home to hundreds of thousands of stray cats, and artist Hüseyin has made it his mission to document the relationship between the city and its feline residents through visually stunning videos. His work captures the cats exactly as they are — resting on colorful building facades, wandering through centuries-old streets, and sitting unbothered in the shadow of some of the world’s most iconic landmarks.
What sets his videos apart is the way they show how deeply woven into daily life these cats actually are. Istanbul’s residents don’t just tolerate them — they feed them, shelter them, and treat them as neighbors, turning the entire city into one giant shared living space. Hüseyin’s camera simply follows what’s already there, and the result is a love letter to a city that has chosen to share itself with its animals.

Spanish artist Vorja Sánchez has a gift for seeing what the rest of us miss — where most people see a cloud, he sees a creature waiting to come alive. Using real cloud photographs as his canvas, he adds just a few hand-drawn lines to give each formation eyes, limbs, and personality, transforming ordinary skies into scenes straight out of a storybook.
The results are equal parts whimsical and eerie, with glowing storm clouds becoming jellyfish-like monsters and wispy formations turning into gentle floating beings. His work has gone massively viral because it taps into something most of us felt as kids — the instinct to look up and find faces in the clouds. Vorja just does it with a pencil and a lot more intention.

What looks like a painting is actually a real photograph captured in the Netherlands, where a bare winter tree lines up almost perfectly with the setting sun behind it. The result is a jaw-dropping silhouette where every branch spreads out like veins across the glowing orange and red orb, making the tree appear to be on fire from the inside.
This kind of shot requires incredible patience and precise timing — the photographer had to position themselves at just the right distance and angle so the sun’s diameter matched the tree’s canopy perfectly.
