‘What if Jeff were a Butterfly?’ by Jeff Mermelstein, published by Void.
-
“I've dug into my archive boxes to make a collage, a timeline that's not a line. Here's more of my story, including pictures and dangling words to help convey an urgent sense of searching for surprise. Family roots permeate and brighten the weave. New flower pictures hold the balance with beauty. My wish is that this book is not finished.” — Jeff Mermelstein

Excited to present ‘JJ VFF VV’ by João Linneu. ⚡️ The first 50 preorders come with a limited edition Riso zine.
-
‘JJ VFF VV’ is an intimate documentation of the birth of Linneu’s first child and a raw study of the painful complications of pregnancy. This new book by Void co-founder João Linneu creates a sensitive visual language around an experience so often shrouded in silence. Photographs unfold chronologically, as Linneu and his partner navigate the private spaces of the bedroom and bathroom, the hospital ward, and the brutal buildings in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. A diaristic record of vulnerability, the work traces the physical and emotional thresholds of pregnancy and the creative potential of collective family experience.

‘Sistermoon’ by Siri Kaur. Published by Void.
-
Artist Siri Kaur has been photographing her family for over 30 years, and her youngest sister, Simran, is the central focus of ‘Sistermoon’. Kaur’s photographs are combined with those from her family archive to create an unconventional album, illustrating the cycles of life and transformation, whilst questioning who observes, who is seen and who belongs.
Here, we highlight Siri’s family archive section of the book.

‘Genocídio do Yanomami’, by Claudia Andujar, considered one of the most significant voices in Brazilian photography.
–
‘Genocídio do Yanomami’ (Yanomami Genocide) is a major monograph by Claudia Andujar, published by Void and developed in close collaboration with Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo, Brazil). It brings together an extensive body of previously unpublished photographs made between 1971 and 1989 among the Yanomami. Originally shot in black and white, Andujar rephotographed and re-illuminated these images in 1989, revealing new angles and distortions—reshaping their meaning and urgency for that moment and the years that followed. Alongside her artistic work, Andujar co-founded the Pro-Yanomami Commission in 1978 with Yanomami leader Davi Kopenawa, a 14-year effort that led to the demarcation of Yanomami Territory in 1992. Yet the struggle continues: illegal mining and state violence persist. This book bears witness to a people whose future has been continually threatened, and whose survival remains a fierce, ongoing resistance.

‘Dimma Brume Mist’, a monumental new book by JH Engström.
-
“This work is an overview of the main lines in my archive. It approaches the oscillation between rural and urban, and between opposing yet complementary elements, emotions and thoughts. Also, between the images and the words. My perspective is that of the observer rather than that of an active participant.
All the images in this book have been directly scanned from the contact sheets, and none of the images in the 672-page book has previously been published.” — JH Engström

We are down to the last 10 copies of ‘The Color of Money and Trees’ by Tony Dočekal. Published by Void.
-
“For six years, I returned to the American West, a region mythologised for its freedom and opportunity, meeting people who defy the norm. ‘The Color of Money and Trees’ became a journey of self-discovery, questioning who we are versus what others expect us to be.” — Tony Docekal

–
In this post, the last pages of ‘As Long as the Sun Lasts’: a visual index of the publication’s contente, and a guide to different narratives and endings of the book.
“The title can be read very optimistically: to keep creating as long as time allows it. But at the same time, it carries a dystopian undertone—that things could end at any given time.” — Joselito Verschaeve
