We know that disabilities affect people year round and are not just experienced in one specific awareness month. So, we're hosting bi-monthly workshops with topics decided by you as a group.
In May's workshop, we will be exploring support options for people who are experiencing loneliness or isolation.
👉 Gain understanding and signposting to housing benefit and welfare support services
👉 Have free tea and coffee
👉 Connect with the community
There'll be two workshops on Tuesday 26 May, from either 10:30am–12pm or 5pm– 6:30pm, both held at The Barn at The Green Man, 355 Bromley Road, London SE6 2RP.
These workshops are free for all Phoenix residents, but space is limited so booking your place is essential - please visit the link below (also in our bio) to reserve your place.
We hope to see you there!

Thank you to everyone who came to our job fair yesterday! From employers and educators to job-seekers and contractors, you all made the event a great success.
Behind the scenes there were weeks of employer outreach, logistics and supplier coordination to bring this job fair to life. As part of our corporate plan, Phoenix is committed to reaching net zero before 2050. We’ve developed a robust community network of net zero committed suppliers, contractors, government partners, local organisations and employers and we brought them together in one place at The Green Man!
We welcomed over 100 guests and residents were able to have real conversations with employers about employment and training opportunities.
If you couldn't make this year's net zero job fair, don't worry - it will be back next year! Make sure you're signed up to our e-news to stay in the loop about upcoming events (link in bio) and below:👇

Yesterday, 11 May marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK.
Mental health issues can impact anyone of any age. So that's why several young people from our #BEin youth leadership programme made this short film, titled "The Unseen", to raise awareness of mental health some young people struggle with.
The film highlights mental health issues and hidden disabilities that some young people find aren't taken seriously because of their age. The Unseen shows that often, we do not know what people are going through and just because someone is smiling does not mean that they are happy.
Check out the short film here or on our YouTube channel (link in bio)!
