✨ A Pre-Party Dance Class ✨
For our second edition of Good As You, we’re introducing a new way to arrive — a pre-party dance class hosted by the one and only Phoenix 💗
Phoenix is a London-based vogue & Waacking dancer who helps people build confidence to fuck up through dance. A true staple of the London queer dance scene, she’s supported queers from across the city to drop judgement, make mistakes, go bigger, bolder — and feel fabulous on the dancefloor.
The class runs 8pm–9pm, soundtracked by our gorgeous DJs. Expect a warm-up, freestyle play, and gentle guidance on dancing with others — no experience needed, just willingness ✨
✨ £8 in addition to the party & Only 20 spaces
🩰 Select as an Add-on when you buy your ticket
🌱 Sober-friendly & perfect for early arrivals
Come as you are. Fuck it up a little. Leave glowing ✨
I’ll share my less successful rounds and I know exactly why they’re that, but I’m really proud of this one. Keeping sane at a battle is hard for me, I’ve cried in the toilets way too many times cause I find it a lot to put myself out there so vulnerable and then get rejected. I persevered cause “exposure therapy” (metaphorically). Every event I go to I just want to learn how to present the most real version of myself, how to calm my nerves, what can I learn from other performers. How do I connect with music when I’m stressed, how do I not put every round as a judgement of my entire humanity/ personality and just as a practice that went whatever way. I am quite a bad quitter too… so here I stand yet again 😂
@nastyamikheeva I think I’m learning to take my time 😂❤️
I’ll always feel forever grateful for learning meisner and applying it to dance cause that really flipped my narrative @responsetheatrecompany ❤️
Wearing @simonpreen and @laducashoesuk

Prepare to be sick of me as I’m talking about joining people together in their misery while dissing running clubs.

We’re collaborating for International Women’s Day — come join us!
This event is open to anyone who wants to celebrate and explore femininity. Tickets are available on a sliding scale £23-27. Only 20 spaces!
It is so easy for us to get disconnected from our body and our physicality, so let’s bring that back.
We will start with a 45 minute Mat Pilates class with Lauren who is a pro dancer and a pilates queen with 100 years of reign. This class will act as a warm up for our Heels class, get your muscles activated and you feeling more connected to your body through mind muscle connection. The studio can provide some mats, but if you have your own, please bring it.
Phoenix will then lead a 75 minute Heels class; all about getting comfortable in your skin, reconnecting with your sensuality and falling in love with yourself. She will lead you through the heels section, testing our standing balance after Pilates. We will play around with heels technique including standing, weight transfer, walks, turns, across the floors and floorwork. The goal is to leave class inspired and equipped to play around with your own heels movement.
The whole event will be catered to mixed ability - open to complete beginners, those who haven’t done heels for a while, we will break things down and take our time.

I rarely post pole on the grid. I actually don’t have as much time to practice for me atm, but I do get time to break down moves and figure out how moves are connected with the heavy help of archive videos of @nagginwyfe classes ofc. That ending killed me, I couldn’t end it gracefully.
This reel is almost about nothing but the joys that life can bring sometimes amidst all the doom. I don’t really do parties, cause I want to sleep. But I loved teaching a pre-party sober dance workshop for @goodasyou___ any excuse to turn up ridiculously early to a partay. Ended up staying to chat and dance with peeps. I love stories and I can’t take much to the grave but I want to experience and tell as many fun (ideally) stories as I can. Thank you @joshaitman for inviting me and congratulations on an epic event!
Attempting to post more talking heads, cause I filmed plenty in the summer 😅 and they’re all relevant. My goals for 26 even through it’s almost January. Filmed by @meghesterevans directed haha by @marianneolaleye
My classes are for people who don’t take themselves too seriously, while simultaneously are very serious about their training ☺️
Here I am eating cake cause my students have a weekly bake-off and I didn’t think to put the cake anywhere… thank you to my students for accepting me and all my shenanigans.
Next classes are 17/02, 24/02, 03/03, 10/03 7-8:30pm at Arts House in Camden. Book in link in bio.
