“Stories of Place” exhibition took place at the Palace of Arts, Cairo Opera House, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Gihane Zaki. The opening reflected the growing role of photography in documenting and reimagining our cities.

انطلق معرض "حكايات المكان" في قصر الفنون بدار الأوبرا المصرية، بحضور معالي الوزيرة الدكتورة جيهان زكي. ولحظة الافتتاح أكدت دور الصورة في توثيق وإعادة رؤية مدننا.
نظرًا للإقبال الكبير، تم مد معرض حكايات المكان.

At the Palace of the Arts at Cairo Opera House, the “Stories of Place” exhibition has just opened with the works of 153 photographers exploring Egypt’s urban and architectural heritage.
Presented through a collaboration between the National Organization for Urban Harmony and Cairo-based photography platform, Phlog, the exhibition’s six halls were curated from more than 7,000 submissions to the Ministry of Culture’s Turathi Competition. What unites the photos on display is an eye for how people and place shape each other, reinforcing the primacy of heritage and its preservation in everyday life. With a total prize pool of 150,000 Egyptian pounds, Turathi aims to raise awareness of Egyptian architectural heritage and its cultural value today.
The exhibition is open to the public from April 23 to 25, from 1:00 - 9:00 PM.

Light After Dark is about exploring light, shadow, and everything that comes alive at night. Push your phone camera and capture the unseen.
