Restored by the National Film Archive of India, the film follows Umrao Jaan's journey from abducted child to celebrated courtesan and poet.

A delegation of artists and filmmakers at the #UKAFF2026 headed to Twickenham Film Studios for a special tour + catch-up—and what an experience it turned out to be!
From getting up close with iconic equipment like the old Steenbeck editing table to diving into the evolution of film technology, every corner had a story to tell.
A definite highlight? An insightful session with BAFTA & Oscar-winning sound re-recording mixer Tim Cavagin—shedding light on the craft, precision, and magic behind sound in cinema.
Safe to say, we walked out inspired, energised, and even more in love with the art of filmmaking 🎥💫
